I hope you are still reading these comments. i have the same car except a 351 c. NEVER SELL THAT CAR BROTHER! Im a doc and when i pull into parking next to all the audis, mercedes and mid life corvettes, men stare and women are just stunned at the level of cool these cars exhibit! Still working on mine, but it always a work in progress, LOL. thanks much for the videos. Hope you and the family are well. RESPECT!
Mine looks even worse, because it has been sitting out in the open. I actually restored it once, and then got married and had kids. My wife resented the fact that I loved that car, and made it her lifes work to find other things to occupy my time. Now, my young-uns are grown and my wife is an ex-wife, so it's time to show it the love and devotion it deserves. I'm going to do a ground up restoration. Thankfully, a lot of the mechanical upgrades are already done, but I do have some rust issues to address.
Excited to hear about the progress! Hope my videos help your restoration. Ground up is a long ways to go but it’s nice to know what you’ve got down to the metal
I just watched all your episodes last night. You’ve done an amazing job and it’s going to look AMAZING!! Can’t wait to see it finished. Ironically today I watched an episode of Hagertys Barn Finds - Episode 45, and your car was on it!! Goes over the reports for the car an all!! Love the Green colour too!!
@@tdays21 I built mine YEARS ago. I did Silver exterior, red and black sport interior. They are going for CRAZY money on FeeBay. I had a Pewter '71, 302 2v automatic back in the early '80's.
@@jwrockets yeah they’ve definitely taken quite a leap in value as of late. I’m glad I found the one I did in the condition it was with the engine and tranny combo and all the options. It’s gunna be quite the beast!
Haha you’ve def got a bit more sheet metal work but I love seeing the progress. I have a lot of extra parts man hit me up if ya need stuff I’ll see if I can help.
What is the best way to find them like this? All I find is $60,000 showroom. So far I have only found one 71 fastback that is more of a project car rather than showroom
Classics-autotrader.com, classiccars.com, classiccardeals.com, ebay.com, craigslist.org, etc. Googling, "project...for sale," works wonders. Setting the sorting method to "price - lowest" will find all of the affordable beat up ones quickly.
Agree, I had weekly searches set up with all of thise listed and it took four years before i found one worth working on. set up auto searches and have your cash ready, they dont last long on the market. good luck!
I couldn’t agree more. I got a chance to drive this gals black restorer one with a 351C It was an awesome experience. Gave me excitement to continue on this restoration ;) I’ll be digging into drive train next wk
Hardly! I have owned two 67 fastbacks and now own a 70 Boss 302 a factory race car nothing overrated about THAT car! Not knocking the 71 Mach's my wife's first mustang was a green 71 Mach I.
