Hello Mr. Conway, I'm a huge fan of pirates/seascapes, having grown up near the ocean. I really admire your dedication to rebuilding your YT channel + sharing the beauty of art with the rest of the world. Things will get better, and we'll be bigger and better than before! Thank you for all that you do. Matt Drew
Thank you Stephen for another great tutorial. After reading the title and watching this particular video it has inspired me to get back to painting. I’ve not painted for some time now (almost three years) as I had lost my inspiration after becoming ill. Now that I’m better I wanted to paint again but couldn’t get inspired for some reason. I especially like clouds, water and sailing ships, and this tutorial has all those elements so I’m going to give this one a try. I’ve been a fan and have been watching you now for a very long time and know you have done exceptional work, but still, I couldn’t bring myself to touch my brushes ... that is until.now. Thank you so much for inspiring me to try once again.
You are very welcome my friend.. i hope you are feeling better... it can be difficult to pick up the brushes but in time you will be painting great matsterpieces... you will always have that gift ..
I wanna paint pirate ship in the storm like Stephen was. Yeah, I take it from backup. Next day I saw Stephen upload this painting. Do you read in my mind? :) I love this stormy weather in your paintings. It's fantastic that your video has not been lost

Hi , just going to paint your demo but I find that your drawing is very faint to see and as your painting is in oils you should make the drawing more pronounced .Thank you .

DId you use gesso to cover the canvas beforepaint and if so was it white gesso or clear?
I just use just household waterbased undercoat...thinned slightly with water..1 coat is usually enough...
Okay so did you cover the canvas with white or clear Gesso before painting? Can't figure out what you said.
