Nice video. What is the biggest fish you have caught on it since? As far as that catfish goes, I am not sure because there are so many introduced species of fish in Florida, and I could not see enough detail in the video to give you a conclusive ID on it. It is possible that it was a baby Appaloosa catfish. They are also called Yellow catfish and Flathead catfish. Another possibility is that it is an introduced species and might have been a baby South American Leopard Catfish, but I am leaning more toward the Appaloosa because of its shape. It is definitely not a Bullhead catfish.
27 .0 yellow carp caught this morning at cannons lake in greer s.c with one of my kingkast brutus and a 23.0 buffalo carp earlier this week only the 2 biggest ones this week
How about lure weights? Is this spincast reel capable of casting 3.5g (= 1/8oz) lures? My father is old-school and he has only used spincasters (old Abu Garcia and Daiwa reels). This might be good reel for him if also lightweight perch lures are an option.
@@FloridaBassTeam thanks for answer! I meant to ask if casting lightweight lures is problematic. Heavy lures pull the line out easily, but lightweight spinners don't usually fly that far.
If you really want to use a top of the line, well made lightweight spincast reel, absolutely get the Z03 OMEGA PRO (by Zebco) it's an elete reel just like the bullet, but cheaper ($75) with 7 ball bearings and all metal gears, it sure as f*** ain't a beginner reel, it handles real hogs with ease! I own 4 of em, and have landed many species 10lbs up to 23 lbs and I fish 4 days a week, they will shock you because they are almost as good as any baitcaster, just hold a little less line. 🐟🍻🐟
Not going to lie (and yes, I understand I am replying 2 yrs after your post, I just saw this video, sorry), I would put up the Pflueger 10SCX President against the Z03 Omega any day. Tough competition, but both AMAZING spincast reels.
I just received one of these reels off ebay it weighs a ton but defiantly seems well built and since most reels are from china now might as well order it from china. haven't tried it out but had to go through my rods to find one to handle it , can't wait to try it out first a jitterbug maybe a wacky worm next.
I've orederd 5 of these already for my kids and back ups....caught an 18 inch bass on it already and it was great on a Brutus rod. Very nice for money I would change line ...you can go as lite as 6 lb. to 12 lb....throws 10 lb.braid well
The zebco Z03 OMEGA PRO is lighter, stronger with 7 ball bearings and has all metal/brass gears and can handle giant hogs with ease!! Basicly as good as any of my baitcasters, retails for $75! And gets incredible reviews too boot👍
I caught a 18lb carp on this reel It took me 20 minutes to get it in the drag was excellent kept me from breaking my line I don't know if you ever caught a carp but pull harder than bass or trout
My wife and I camped in the keys. We caught a smallish (24”) barracuda and put it on one of those metal stringers to hold it until dinner. But a Goliath Grouper saw it and with one bite inhaled it as a snack. Amazing sight to see.
The only benefit of a spin cast reel over a spinning reel is that you can recast faster ....they are heavy reels to have mounted on top of the rod and hold less line ...that's why baitcasters are so nice ...with the high center of gravity vs low/negative center of gravity on a spinning reel and baitcasters hold a lot more line.
You don't get stung if you know how to handle them.

Good luck out there!
Great Video bud! I just purchased the Brutus... thanks to your video, i was able to decide. Keep it up and be safe
Fun video to watch. Any idea what weight that jig was you used?
Simplesmente o melhor Spincast.

Yes, 1/16 is definitely fine you can probably cast up to 1/2 oz lures with it! Hope this helps !

Great review! What kind of kayak is that, can you post a link?
Great reel and very heavy. Tried one today, casts a mile. 30.00 on eBay.
Nice smooth reeling reel & casts great but kinda heavy like the Zebco 33 Max. I wish it had a bait clicker for fishing channel cats 👍.

Our reel puts nicks all in the line causing us to loose many lures and fish before we realized the issue.
Thanks for the review, had not seen one of these, before.
How does it compare to the zebco bullet

can i catch snake head fish. on this reel?
if you put braid on it and put it on a good rod then yeah!

Bullhead because of the rounded tail
Inches per turn? And is good for braid?
Nice Invicta watch, too bad it isn’t sized properly.
Go after a Goliath Grouper with that reel. Lol
Rofl

Should make a how to video on casting them.
👍👍👍

But you can cast much smaller lures with a spincast reel
