When the entire arrest fiasco of Imran Khan took place Pak General Asim Munir is in Oman and Pak PM Shebaz Sharif stayed back in UK even after the King Charles coronation. This almost feels like they both feared the backlash of Imran Khans arrest so they made sure they were outside the country. How can you expect officers under your command to respect you when you yourself are sitting in Oman to avoid the backlash? Imran Khan is an existential crisis for Asim Munir, understand this Imran Khan is not against the Pak army rather its present General meaning Imran Khan has some level of support within Pak army. Paks present government is desperately trying to remove Imran from the equation of 2023 elections cause with Imran still there he is more likely to return to power.
