Refugees are starting their new life in Winnipeg and Charlottetown, communities where they feel safe and accepted without discrimination.
In this video, refugees share their experiences of studying in Canada, including learning English and French.
“Canada gave me back my life, which I couldn’t get,” says Alemseghed Asghedom, a former refugee.

As a Canadian, I am proud that we have a rich history of helping people when they are in need. The underground railroad, Bosnian war, Holocaust survivors, the list goes on. We are a country of survivors and therefore which creates a unique link between human beings - not like pigmentation.

To those who think canada or any western country is a paradise you are totally dreaming. Yes when you watch from tv it seems amazing but bear in mind this world is same only your perception is different. Don't fall on advertising just have a full vision on what you will do when you get there. Sand air and water is available every part of this world nothing is different only buildings so build your country instead of immigrating
