After Leonnard, his father died, Nicholas being the one who found his body, has developed PTSD on people whom he loves getting sick or needed to go to the hospital. Being the " eldest " also restricted his mental health from opening up and seek for help, therefore the Anxiety and overthinking is developed as well. He restrained himself to be not as emotional because he still needs to be 'mature' and take care of Noah, who is more direct and emotionally unstable too.
