Jasmine...I said the same thing in one of my earlier comments. That took a great deal of professionalism! I would have had a full fledged meltdown!! Seriously, it had to take every ounce of emotional fortitude she had to get thru that performance. I thought it showed tremendous strength of character! Of course his sweet nature tried to put her at ease but he has to know the effect he has on the opposite sex!! Whew!! Its that sweetness that makes him all the more lovable. And truly I love him for him showing his love for his family the absolute most. I'm sure you agree!!

This popped up on my utube feed this morning probably cause I'm a huge Brett fan and I couldn't stop crying from hearing Mercy with the two of them! I have been binge watching everything she did on Idol and I am so smitten with her. Probably my favorite female artist to come along in many moons! She moves me beyond words! The two of them together are super charged and I would love, as others have said, to see this actual live performance released again. It is that good!! I think I had some things going on in 2019 to have missed her Idol performances but I am making up for lost time. She is a world class star!! I'm gonna see if she's signed to a record deal yet, if not, she will be!!

Feeling Random...I just sent a text to my longtime bff, who is herself a retired professional singer who has sung with some of the biggest in the business. She herself has the same soulful smooth but raspy quality to her voice. I was telling her about just discovering this beautiful angelic girl and I described her voice using that same word, vulnerable, along with tender and believable. It's like two people just let you into their most intimate and heartwrenching moment and you got swept away in the emotion of it all. Totally spellbinding! This may be one of the greatest duets of all time!

Jingles...Well she didnt win it, but that's not always a bad thing. Have you noticed, other than Carrie and Kelly Clarkson that the artists that went on to have the biggest career breakouts, haven't been the winners. Jennifer Hudson, Kelly Pickler, among others. I'm doing some research to see what's going on with her but even if she's just waiting in the wings, her star is yet to rise!! I've been out of the loop for past couple years but I'm gonna do my due diligence on this girl, I cant get enough!

I don't even like modern country and think this was a fabulous duet. Her voice adds a needed element and, while I certainly am not in the industry, I look at her voice as one that is uniquely distinctive and, therefore, marketable. I hope she can use American Idol as a platform to bigger and better things!

I say that the songs he's been putting out help to counter this wicked world view perception that marriage and children and a loving family are somehow evil and need to be destroyed by Marxist maniacs. We all are drawn to his songs like Lady and My Weekends Look A Little Different These Days precisely because he exemplifies the best of manhood that is both strong and tender. Somethings this world is in short supply of. He is setting the bar rather high but I'm hoping there are still MEN out there who are willing to step up to the plate. His interviews on utube where he talks about changing diapers to give his wife a little extra sleep is priceless! He is a jewel!!

He is head and shoulders above the rest, both literally at 6'6" and musically, he is a "giant in his industry" (as we used to say in the Nashville music biz which I was in for 20 plus years). I almost cant imagine how she pulled it off! The girl from a small Texas town living out her dream on stage with her "idol" and she aced it!!! I'd have passed out!
