Sadly I have discovered this Man for about a year and a half. This guy is so amazing he can copy anyone and excel at it. I want to break his fingers 😂 Seriously though he has become my favorite guitarist and I hate him 😂
OMFG. A simultaneous reminder of why Hendrix was and is my favourite endlessly creative guitar god, and rated so highly by everyone who knows what’s what, and why Greg Koch is the most amazing and currently underrated player in the entire cosmos!!!! Incredibly intricate and funky stuff. I'm always blown away by GK's improvs.
Gregory is one of the few that can do a Hendrix song justice!!
Just wow! Not many people can pull off Hendrix, but Greg is a master! I bet Jimi would dig Greg’s playing. 🤘🏼🎸
Greg Koch and trio format INCREDIBLE OUTSTANDING SMOKIN’ HOT 🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸
This is too much gristle to comprehend. I am now experienced.
Greg Koch came through our little "burg", years ago. Played a little seminar, many guitarists came and enjoyed his vibe, his swagger. Greg is smooth as buttah....love you Greg Koch!!! Rock the F on brother..
Man, I love this guy. Great rhythm section also. Definitely one of the very top players in the world. So entertaining.
Good to hear Hendrix still in this day and age …. Thanks for keeping this alive and slaying! 😳🔥😎🔥👍🏻
Ridiculously good. The way he plays around with the songs and improvises on the fly. That version of 1983... as well. Too good.
Why can't I walk by a bar and here this! Insane!
I'm 4 minutes in and just freekin blown away! The biggest compliment I could give you is that I feel Jimmy would enjoy this and bestow his praises on you. And like in the comments, anybody who believes Hendrix playing is ok, mediocre, or overblown is a fool or worse. Just watching Greg play some deep cuts reminds me of Jimmys off the charts ability and Greg truly is top 3 if not the best in recreating Hendrix's music with a great vibe. The vibe is what puts this fantastic exhibit on another level! Did I mention that I f'n love this?! Lol
Best Tele rendition of Hendrix songs I have heard yet!!
I honestly can "like" this video enough! Blowing the windows outta the house! And I'm only on Message to Love!
The lexicon of Mr Hendrix is wide and deep.
There's a lot to praise here. The performance of course - the whole band! I just love that they respect and present the Hendrix canon to 21st century audiences.
all the tones ect are spot on just like the man who left this world in 1970 , a long time ago now in 2023 but you keep him alive greg. thank you .
THAT MAN CAN DO ANYTHING ON ANY GUITAR.❤
Greg Koch - Master of the Telecaster, he'd probably play just as well on a tennis racket, the whole band is so awesome
Greg is a bigger than average talent and human! This format with a great bass player and kick butt drummer highlights his seemingly unending stream of guitar brews! Who needs coffee!
The master of drunken tones and unusual crazy licks - Hendrix on the Telecaster.
The rhythm section is really cooking!!!
Thanks for uploading this!! Love Greg, Dylan and Matt "The Burner" Turner on Bass!! Wooooooo!! 😝👍🥓🎸🎶💜
This is amazing! Thanks for posting this concert footage. Fantastic performance by The Gristle Man and his cohorts in tone.
This is just brilliant. I just found it and am loving listening to it.
Excellent hommage a Jimi Hendrix peut-être un jour un ou des concerts en France 🇫🇷
Wow! What amazing tone and recording! Every part of the mix is perfect! That's some fluidity! Amazing band!
Hendrix is up in Heaven smiling! I have never seen Jimi topped on his own songs like this guy does, only Stevie Ray Vaughn comes to mind, and I think Greg plays better than Jimi. I hope Greg has a complement of originals I can here some day! So much music, so little time.
Thank you for the amazing concert! Greg, I love your pallette of colors, but you would sound great straight out of the amp, no reverb the way you play!
You should hear eric johnson do hendrix, also feel free to check out the boatloads of original music greg has
His choice of tunes shows you how deep Greg is into Jimi.
I am on the fourth song and none of them are singles or his better known recordings.
Looking forward to the rest and maybe more from the BOG album?
Who knows if he’ll play more from that! :)
Best thing I’ve listened to in years, just brilliant.
Very cool! Anodyne really rings a bell for me. The band I played in way back when played 1 show in greater Milwaukee and am thinking it was there! Great show as always Greg and Co!
Just saw this and it's just great, of course I had to laugh when I noticed Greg playing through a Koch amp it's the little things that mean so much.
Unbelievable song retention! I cannot imagine the work put into learning all of these. Thank you so much!
Fav Hendrix song of all time !!!
I really enjoyed playing along with you on these Hendrix Jams. I feel I’ve grown as a musician because of it.
i want a cd of this, he is great
This performance took me back to 1968-1970, and I thank you, K&K&T !! I got more emotional throughout it. Just the way to celebrate JMH's birthday... Keep it up you guys, you absolutely slayed, cut gristle, kissed the sky, winds are crying, and flipped the floppity in my mind!
Thank you for posting the best band in the land made my day
Thank you so much for sharing this! ❤️
That rotary effect is really good!
Can you imagine this in a concert hall, proper lighting, visuals on a large screen, a great sound mix and a tech to change guitars each song to re tune? Would be epic
Fantastic show! Thank you for posting this! Turner The Burner is a wonderful addition to the band. Look forward to Toby being able to add keys to the mix on these jams.
This should have 8 million views!
I adore this 😂guy ....tremendous guitarist❤
Greg thank You
Awesome Music from You and The Band
Sure !!!!! Brilliant ...!!!!!!
This is fantastic!!!!! Greg is one of the best doing it today. Dylan is a beast and Turner is a Burner!!!! Long live the Kochatorian!!!!
Thank you for this!
I just nearly died laughing when he told his pedal to fuck off in Power of Soul. Holy shit I love the Gristle monster. Such a dude.
The WInd Cried Gristle .. 😂🤣
What greg lacks in the whammy bar dept. he makes up for in bends slides and other techniques of finesse!
And pinch harmonics, all killer, no filler!
Always musically entertaining, and the skill levels displayed are so "OH WOW!"
Thank you for the on the sweet icing on the cake of life and the necessity covid isolation.
Hittin' it outta the park! Bravo Greg & Co.
His Gristlemaster seems so tiny in his hands ! in mine, the neck feels HUGE ! this guy is awesome !!! and he plays Hendrix without a vibrato and positions 2 and 4 of a strat !!! great guy !
Glad to see Turner the Burner giggin’ with you guys!
Beautiful!
Awesome sound! I'm inspired!
Very nice Thank you !
Outstanding work Greg🎶
That was sweet music, cheers!
Greg is Great ! Keep on Rocking that Smile ! Someday I hope that I can grow up and play like that ! Seems like there is nothing Greg can’t do on a Guitar !
jimi as a veteran must have based some of his characters on his experiences. dragonflies, little wing. he was a paratrooper. thats gotta have an impact on your imagination.
i was a sentry in the air force and i used to run songs thru my head while doing circles around B52s. fire and rain was my fav.
pick up my axe and fight like a farmer, indeed.
Hell ya! Nailed it. Band of Gypsies is my favorite Hendrix.
Dude I love that tone. Nice playing. Head and shoulders above most, bud. Been watching wildwood for a while but never seen you play live. This is a treat.
He's a mother f$@"r live
I saw him open for Jeff Beck
I'm not saying he blew Jeff Beck away but I bet Jeff was sweating 🥵
I always say don't cover a great song if you can't do it better. Good job guys.
Greg Koch may be my current Guitar Dog.
Sheer wizardry!!
Man, why are you not a star? Your version to me is better than originals... Since I've been loving you was a killer, the best.
man o man.... i love me some greg style of nasty
Great Great guitar player!!
Once saw Buddy Miles as the opener for Chicago... circa 1970/1971. Later on saw Buddy Miles Group in a few other places but never spent another dollar on Chicago.
my corns are vibrating
dude, love your playing. you kick a$$
Bold and Lovely!
Greg didn’t choose an easy thing by covering Jimi and as always doing very Wellington. Hats off Greg !!
He has a great voice, I wish he sang more…
Valla formacion mas autentica👌👌puro rock.n.roll.....
Impressive indeed.
Never heard of this Greg before he is good
Right On Rippin' trippin Righteous music my brothers
I expected to love the guitar .., didn’t expect to love the vocals… wow, amazing..
what a bassman!
Sounds good
WOW!
Wow just Wow
Greg is great of course, but there is just nothing like that band of gypsys record. Power to love gets me every time in the beginning when jimi comes in with wah, instant stank face
Noice 👍
Far out man, he is so good.
OMG, That audience is very lucky
Power!
Greatness. Embrace playing with your son.
I started raising both my sons in 2011 as a single dad, a 10 and 7 year old. I taught them both how to play drums and for a while they were into it. I had the dream of a trio- me on guitar with them two as my drummers…
Soon enough Lil Wayne and not John Bonham became their ‘hero and idol’ ffs🙄.
Now the 10 year old is 21 and serving ten years in prison while luckily the 7 year old, 18 now, is graduated and going off to collage to study criminal forensics.😵💫
Now, back on my own again Im just wondering when the hell will the TripleGristle be available again…🤔
I hear the Bass .👏
Savage.
You guys are badass. Fantastic renderings of James Marshall.
🔥🎸
Love the Band of Gypsies songs
Wow
Best guitar player on the planet. No contest.
Can't believe I'm saying it. But this is the best guitar player I've ever heard.
The Kochster should collaborate with the unknown Hinson! That would be “rawkin!”
They could do Unknown Hendrix...
There's not to many groups that would even attempt this, much less do it so Freek'n Good... *;*
