They all look really good you should do more of these comparison videos
Thank you! Anything you'd like to see compared?
EikenBBQ - Next time try No Binder then - Kosmo's Dirty Bird Hot 1st and Killer Bee Honey over the top. Let sit for 30 minutes before you put on the cooker. Spray mist with water every 30 minutes. Then when they are ready to wrap do the Parkay with Light Brown Sugar and Kosmo's Rib Glaze until done.
Will do, thanks for the suggestion!
Killer hogs "the BBQ rub" for me
Kosmos for the win!
It was a close one for sure!
Great video all the way through. Thanks a lot!
Thanks, glad you enjoyed it!
Do more. Love these comparisons.
Everything I’ve bought from kosmos is ridiculously good.. best rubs and great prices
Killer Hogs is up next for me but Kosmos was definitely notable. And I have a bunch of rubs now.
Killer Hogs is great for color, not a ton of flavor but works well combined with other rubs.
@@eikenbbq9023 that's good to know
Thanks for this.
Wondering why you didn't just compare the rubs on the smaller pieces that didn't get the butter and rib candy. Seems they may have impacted the test.
The test was for me, that's how I typically cook my ribs so I wanted to keep it the same. I posted the video for those who it may help or just find enjoyment out of it.
Great comparison! I have the Voodoo on the shelf, the Honey Hog Hot from Meat Church is good too. I generally reach for SuckleBusters Honey BBQ rub on pork.
I haven't tried ShuckleBusters, I'll have to check them out. Thanks for watching!!
The honey hog hot is my favorite rib rub!
I'll have to check it out, thanks!
Holy Voodo for me... Great Video
Voodoo is our all time favorite, was surprised we didn't pick it here. Thanks for watching man!
Excellent presentation
Just used Kosmos meat rub on carne asada and it was ridiculous 🍖🔥🔥
My wife would kill me if I had to wash my grill gloves after every cook. For handling hot I just put on disposable nitrile gloves over a pair of knit ones.
How about the Kosmos Dirty Bird.. The reviews are prety good
I actually love the dirty bird. I'll work it into a video soon. Thanks for watching!
Dang, im all for squaring off the ends. But that was a 1/4 slab taken off each slab. That woulda been enough for the kids to snack on.
The goal here was to make the ribs as identical as possible to create an even cook across the ribs. It never feels good trimming that amount off 🤣 but I do still eat them, they just don't make the videos.
About through ribs on, like this smoker already got the temp up to 455 for seasoning purposes..it stalls then rebounds great to far. I’ll get the temp down to 250 and start cooking..thanks for your channel I’ve learned a lot about the Bronco and great ideas for other cooks. I also bought a Thermo-Pro the Bronco gauge and the ThermoPro are about 8 - 10 degree difference. Does the Bronco gauge get more accurate over time?? Thanks!
Great video, wished you'd have used Meat Church Honey Hog hot though :)
man they all look good keep tubing
They definitely were! Thanks for watching!
I think people focus to much on the times when doing a 321 rib cook, I’ve had them need more time in the foil and I’ve had them only need 5-10 minutes to set the sauce up when doing the last 1 hour
For sure, I rarely ever go by time or temp for ribs, mainly just feel.
loving the content! ive never had the kosmos rub but still have heard good things i have to find it and give it a shot- love using meat church. new channel for me to subscribe to! cheers
Thanks, really appreciate it! The Kosmo's is great, sweeter than most. We really like the Meat Church Voodoo, I was honestly surprised we didn't pick that one.
EikenBBQ interesting I don’t mind sweet rubs definitely will have to test it out !
It's definitely worth checking out, hope you like it! Thanks for watching!
Where is the Heath riles rub
Unfortunately I had had three slabs that day, 😂 I'll make sure to get a follow up video tho. Thanks for watching!
Cosmos makes pretty good rubs
Been looking for some good review videos! I’ve bought meat church products… they just are over priced flavorless too me..
They're hit or miss but most of the UA-camr BBQ products are pretty generic. We prefer Yardbird for our ribs and I haven't really found anything close.
@@eikenbbq9023 I appreciate the advise! Paprika …. Dehydrated blah blah… onion lol.
I've never tried the Kosmos Q rub. I'll have to get some now. I do have the Killer Hog stuff. "The BBQ Rub" is really good, but the Hot rub, I've noticed really is just ok. I think you may be correct in that it is probably made as something to add to another rub. I recently got some holy voodoo, but have only tried it on chicken at this point. pretty salty, pretty spicy, good flavor... One that I think you should try that seems to be taking North Georgia by storm is Bad Byron's butt rub. I tried some this past week on baby backs and it was amazing the best ribs I've done yet. Question: is that rib candy glaze spicy?
Thanks for all of the input. My first rack of ribs ever was done with some Bad Byron's, that stuff is amazing! Love the killer hogs but mainly use it for color, add a little plowboys to it and you're all set! The Rib Candy can get a bit spicy, I like to add a sweeter sauce to the ribs after cooking with it.
Meat church voodoo was actually the first rub used
You should match up todays winner against Keith Riles and Bad Byron's...
Hey, that sounds like a good plan!
Can you add a link to the gloves you use?
I would but I haven't been able to find them in months :/ they're Venom Steel, awesome gloves but hard to come by these days.
Meat church has a honey hog rub that may have been a better comparison. Still looks darn good to me.
For sure! I did this one for fun, I'll make sure to redo it with a better setup next time. And 😂 they were dang good! Thanks for watching!!
@@eikenbbq9023 A lot of people use the honey hog with the holy vodoo. A mixture of the two.
I'll have to check that out, thanks for the info!
Was cosmo q hot at all
Awesome video but it was kind of a unfair contest to the killer hog rub hot. KH original maybe would of done better
We feel like the KH is more for color than flavor. It's a great rub but benefits from being combined with other rubs.
@@eikenbbq9023 hummm I never heard of that but to each his own KH org has flavor now the hot not so much.
What kind of gloves are you using? I’m looking for a pair. Thanks.
Venom Steel, you can find the on Amazon. Great gloves, highly recommend.
EikenBBQ thanks. Love the videos
Thanks!!!
That kosmoQ kill bee is amazing stuff. Especially on chicken. Best chicken I have ever had. Yet to try it out on something else.
Just bought the voodoo yesterday. Been trying to figure out what to try it on first.
And yet it KosmoQ fails taste tests time and time again against competition. Try yourself Sucklebusters Hog Waller. You’ll thank me later.
Where do you find the rib candy pepper jelly? Did that say HEB on it? I've definitely got to try that out! Thanks for sharing I love Kosmos. Just ordered the new sweet honey pecan rub.
My local Ace Hardware caries the Rib Candy, and that stuff is amazing!
Try the same test with instead of the killer hogs hot try the killer hog the bbq rub
Great idea! I'll work on getting that video out asap! Thank you!
@@eikenbbq9023 np.... i use both and tbe regular one is definitely better for flavor
Awesome, I have both as well, no idea why I didn't think to include it, I'll get on it asap!
Agree not a fair comparison
I'm still new to this, hopefully my testing videos will be get better in the future. Thanks for watching!
Tried the killer bee but it was just sugar in a bottle...the Voo doo was much better . JMO
I personally use the kosmos and I’ve tried quite a few . I put it on chicken and pork and I love it.
The Kosmos is a solid rub for sure, really enjoy most of his products. If you haven't checked out his brisket injection I highly recommend it.
I’m gonna have to check it out.
@@eikenbbq9023 also on Amazon it’s $17 and at ace hardware it’s $11.
Wow! I've noticed Amazon is always a bit higher for that type of product, sucks because some of it his hard to get locally. Thanks for the heads up.
@@louismontoya7437 check out his website and buy it from there!
BONES LOOK AWEFUL
12:03 Guys lips on the right🤣
Meyers Texas rub
It does well on pork? I'll have to check it out.
I love its a Texas rub salt and pepper base but its my favorite
I'll give it a try, thank you!
Low heat
The girl is 🔥
What’s her name?
Over cooked way over cooked
This is actually how we prefer them. Cooked any longer and they'd just fall right off the bone, we like a little bite. How do you prefer your ribs?
So much wasted meat
You watched some of the video and just assumed I threw away the trimmings?? 😅😅😅
