Waiting is not easy, I got married at 36! I got ridiculed by family members & at the place of work. Got to a point where only married men would approach me, thinking I was desperate. But God joined me with a very good man. Am going to be 60 in a couple of years! No regrets in waiting.

Having been there, the worse pressure was with my Dad who was desperate to see me married. Like many He even asked me to have a child without a hubby . This was my last discussion with him before he died in a car accident; I met my hubby 4 days after his death. I prayed all sorts of prayers. My last was about thanking the Lord for a life of a fulfilled life he gave to me through Jesus christ, a life with a husband and healthy babies. I met my current hubby during covid and married a year later. God has millions of ways to fulfill his promises

Grace upon grace. I was 44 when I got married. I waited faithfully. At 41 I got very ill, diagnosed with a chronic lung condition. I told myself I can't get married in this condition. Apart from lung pain, I used to have serious fatigue, I could wake up go to work within two hours I would start dozing. By 44 doctors had given me a medications through a nebuliser which I used morning and evening, the tiredness had reduced. I had learnt to live with the condition without an outsider noticing that I had a health condition unless I told them. I remember one gentleman wanting to date me and within a few days I told him about my condition, he ran away! When I met my husband, I told him I could not get married because of my lung condition. He said he didn't see an ill person in me, but rather the Lord showed him an image of a strong woman. He proposed with one month and wanted us to get married within 3 months. This was too tight for me...we were complete strangers, how can this be? I gave him some conditions...1) my father's word would be final, 2) his children have to be onboard (he had 2 minor children). Long story short, we got married after one year of meeting. His first assignment which he promised before we got married was to find a doctor for me. He did and I had major lung surgery after 3 months of marriage. This man was God sent, he saw a greater vision rather than my incapacitating illness. So I've got miracles and I'm grateful to God for this gift of a relentless courageous man in my life 🙌🙌

let me give my advice 1. Prayer And Intercession works even someone who married a wrong partner outside the will of God will end up in a marriage full of problems which eventually break down. The will of God is the best. Haste is dangerous. 2. Every man and woman ready for marriage should self examine and see that their character is suitable to be shared with another person. ie be flexible and adapt. Some men and women are easily irritated by some small things and would leave a partner because of those small errors. 3. Family and relationship should be a priority. Some people’s priorities are their business, education more than family or relationships. There should be a balance. The bible says he who wants friends must himsef be friendly. Next year September I will be turning 25and I don't know what to do with this. I have struggled for long but getting the hardest knocks. But God has been faithful. I was lying on that bed thinking of how it shall be. Where and when I will get a job. How my life will be like. I tried doing assignments but in vain. I just cried desiring that God speak to me.. Especially when the turbulence even in my youth and student ministry are so rough. A time when everyone is looking up on me. A season I don't have friends or anyone to lean on. I married at 37yrs but the pressure from family members was intense.
Great Rev.Joyce single people have the best time with God and themselves.
Infact my dilemma is how the marriage will take a chunk of my time with God .
I believe at the appointed time the spirit og God gathers the man and woman together.

@shiru Joyce, society is very harsh to women. As a firstborn, I know people are looking at you like you are suffering from leprosy. When the pressure is too much remind yourself it's a life commitment. Put your trust in God.

For sure it's just God's grace. There's alot of judgement by colleagues and family members when you are past 35 not married..eti what are you waiting for...God knew us before we were born..36 and the grace of God keeps me moving...one day shall testify
