Cool video. I haven’t seen one of those for a long time. Just a thought, if the inertia switch is tripped or shorted that would keep the fuel pump from running.
Thank you Ron. I don’t think 🤔 this one has an inertia switch but I’ll definitely check into it, it does act just like it has one 🤞 Appreciate the heads up
Tom at the Allant'e Store in California will be able to answer any questions you may have about an Allant'e. He is a collector and has written several manuals on the vehicle. I have a 92 and he has answered many of mine. If you need his phone # or address please feel free to contact me. Love your car . She's a beauty.
Excellent video. What a nice specimen, especially given its age. Wow. Is the wood trim on the dash original, or an aftermarket kit? I don’t recall them coming with that “Cadillac” touch.
I have a 91, had my pump replaced recently. No issues so far thankfully. Can you hear the pump engage? There are relays behind the glove box, if you didn't already know. Fuel pressure on the rail? Does it just turn over?
I think you are right on target. I hate to do it but I’m gonna have to dig into that dash it looks like. Thank you for watching and for your comment. I’ll have the follow up video out very soon 🙏
Had my 88 5 years. They are a huge pain. Roof never worked right, something in the tilt steering wiring comes loose and lose power sometimes. I'm trying to learn to leave the wheel down for now to keep from wiggling any more wires. Today my back glass shattered while it was folded down. My plate reads NKLNDYM for a reason. I've fixed a lot of crap on it since I've had it. Haven't had any fuel problems yet
always loved the design of this car though I've also always thought it was too short to be called a Cadillac though they'd been downsizing for about 10 years when the Allante debuted my late maternal grandmother drove a used 1979 Coupe Deville when this car debuted which she later traded for a used 1984 Buick Skylark because she got tired of having the Coupe Deville stolen from her work at Logan international airport so often though the Buick got stolen a handful of times also and she eventually traded the Skylark for a 1990 Burgundy Toyota Camry which had I not had the disability limitations I do I would've likely learned drive in either the 1990 Camry or a used 1995 Dodge Spirit that my dad drove at the time after his previous car a 1992 Volvo 760 was t boned in east Boston personally though my favorite used car he ever had was a Chevy Caprice Classic
Thank you for checking out the video and taking the time to ask about the car. It was my dad’s car and he ended up having the car picked up. I honestly have no idea what became of the cadi.
@@flippinnuts1 aaaaaw 🥺. I’m purchasing one next weekend. And the seller said she just needs a fuel pump and a tune up and after seeing this video, I’m kind of nervous.
I was interested in one of these years ago. A Caddy dealer I know advised skipping over the'87, usual 1st year teething problems.
No doubt! Thank you for checking it out.
Awesome video
Thank you 🙏

Thank you Mark. It really is a nicely put together car. The dash is original. Appreciate you watching and taking the time to comment.

@@allantelynn306 Don’t be, worth the effort, in my opinion.
