@@tomsrailannouncements Probably a way to close the station to trains by stealth - the same happened to Wedgwood and Norton Bridge on the line between Stoke and Stafford, where there is a bus service instead.
One thing I love about British rail is that they’ll always tell you the reason for delays. They don’t have to, but do anyways.
