Sounds great man. Just wanted to say thanks for inspiring me by using interesting woods and styles of banjo building. Banjo's aren't common at all in my country, but I plan on starting one using all New Zealand native woods anyhow. I really feel like your content is what gave me the confidence to buy an ebook on banjo building and ignore all the wood choices written in the book. Instead finding NZ native woods that match the needs of the woods listed in the book for certain parts. Got myself a hide curing from a mountain goat from a hunting trip, on the hunt for wood now!

Man that is fantastic! Thanks so much for that. I can't wait to see how it comes out! What kind of banjo are you planning on making??

@@JDanielGraham Going for the Kentucky octagon for a first try, Looks nice and easy haha. Using Pahautea (New Zealand Cedar) for the sound chamber and Puriri (sometimes called NZ teak) for the neck. No fretboard, just simple for a first try. Might use Black Maire for the tuning pegs.
