Technically they're just volcanic cones, all part of one volcano. On the flip side, this means you're the only person to technically fully climb the Auckland volcanic field volcano within a day. There are some other interesting volcanic fields (even within NZ) with lots of densely packed volcanic cones that might be fun to try as a follow up; Whangarei and Kaikohe-bay of islands would be fun for within NZ, and Michoacan-Guanajuato would make for a truly insane challenge (too many cones to do all in a day so this would be about how many you could pull off within the time limit). Either way, super cool to see this all in one video, I found an old website about exploring all of Auckland's cones but this is a much cooler format.
Thanks, glad you enjoyed it. Auckland's volcanoes are all individual. Each volcano erupted from a different vent, though they all tap into the same underlying source of magma.
Phenomenal job and well done on the challenge. Also great to learn about Auckland's volcanoes.
An impressive achievement! Congratulations, well done guys!!
Very well done lads! Hopefully your record will stand for a good long while.
