@theBioneer I showed a picture of you from this video to my friend, and asked him to guess your age and he said 49. Yeah, not getting enough sleep definitely could be a contributing factor, but stressing your body out everyday for no reason also makes sense to induce aging. I'm actually thinking of researching this more myself.

Lack of exercise is hands down very bad. We need a well developed muscle mass in order to stay mobile and healthy when old. I've worked as an old people's nurse, I know what I'm talking about. Too much exercise can be as dangerous as lack of it. It depends on a person

I've seen statistics on how your bone density lessens as you age if you don't exercise. Also, your muscles atrophy with age if you're not exercising. Could be wrong but that's what I've learned
I work out everyday but agree with sv3ridge. That's why my workouts consists of stretching and only bodyweight exercises and never more than one set per body part. And it's surprising how strong you can get only doing one set a day.

Now that I eat mostly meat, train only two hours per week and have an active but not strenuous job, I feel so much better and don’t feel like I’m going insane. It’s crazy that people don’t know that sports can break down your body.
I do about 45 min to an hour and a half of weight lifting every week. At home. 1 set to failure. Works great! And I skip out when tired. You can make gains with very little effort, it usually comes down to 10 mins a day 5 days a week.
Is this for real? I'm pretty sure everyone can physically FEEL that sports lead to fatigue and breakdown. If you overreached in your training, with a labour job, that's your own fault lmao. It's pretty much consensual that if you are under so much stress, you need sufficient rest or stop whatever you are doing. This is nothing new

Bude, im almost 31 and trained all my life and have worked in very bad environments for 7 years, very labor intensive with frequent night shifts, and yet almost every day someone is surprised that im not 20 years old and i see people 10 years younger than me that look like 30+ so this is strongly generics. Also, for men, it's very beneficial to work out. Resistance training makes you gain bone density which most people lose over time when aging more muscle mass and stronger ligaments are big positive for everyone joints are getting lubricated when moving and younare using testosterone which is good for not losing your hair and lower the iq and also when you are using it you body produces more of it. There is just so much I would like wrong with these opinions. I just don't know where to start. The facts of working out are that killing you is an idea I have never heard of ever backed by scientific research studies. The literal hundred, if not thousands of study supporting that physical stimulate, improve health, yet there is a secret conspiracy of the couple of contrary opinions against the literal hundreds. The only way I can see the study being real is in extreme sports like running for 15 miles or ones in which pharmaceutical supplements are involved. The only example i got was bodybuilding, which doesn't have anything due to the fact of steroids with health complications. also, you state that you just need to "hunt" while hunting is quite physically demanding. You walking around for miles with equipment possibly weighting quite a bit often striking the animals with a bow or spear quite hard and requiring degees of strength and then you would have to carry the animal for miles weighting quite a large amount. I think you're confusing extreme examples for your claim. For most people working out, they are not them lifting weights for 3 hour every single day for 30 years.
NGL man I like to exercise often and don’t think it’s bad for me. I don’t kill myself and I feels more energized. For example, I’ll study for 1 hour then rest for 10 minutes and repeat. In that time I can use 1 min to get as many reps as possible of some exercise then maybe a few more minutes 1-8 minutes walking to clear my head and focus on what my goals are for later or practice some skill like balance in a single arm push-up (just something that requires some focus /read, practice dance moves, playing chess, etc) all while watching the news and sometimes just chill and watch UA-cam vids shows, or movies the whole break. I notice for me if I don’t exercise or spend time/energy focusing on something I enjoy at least a little bit during those breaks I was more likely to fall asleep and work slower during study and in general have lower quality work done. I’ve never felt overworked during bedtime or the next day even when I do use most of my break time of that day or week specifically to exercise/move or mental exercise. A little more than an hour to recover while studying or something that has to be done is more than enough time to feel well and fully rested from the previous break. I also feel that my life is more enjoyable, lively, more worthwhile. I don’t feel like a slave spending excess energy during those minutes on fun and sometimes very hard things for me because in generally I am more likely output high performance. I can afford to miss many days without exercise, workouts or eating the most healthy because I do those things often enough. What are your thoughts because I get better at those things during and after breaks which is fun and feels worthwhile for the time spent even if I would live a little bit longer but I wouldn’t want to be 97 and be like a living pillow or very slow, hands always shaking. I would rather die a little younger but also just die as a pretty functional and happy very old person chilling with the new generation or my fam still able to recall my life story or lessons. Not too young, (I’ll do my best to live but) also hopefully not too old, just right. Ya know what I mean?🥳👍

I trained 2 hours a day 5 days a week for 6 months out of the year for about 4 years straight and I think it had great benefits for me especially my hand eye coordination and how to manipulate my fight or flight response. Here is an example for regular excercising. Spoiler ahead: it's going to be about elasticity of your ligaments not muscle athrophy. Joe who do not excercise wants to help his father to move out. He mostly lays all day and dont know the technique to lift heavy things. He lifted the couch having haunched posture. One of his discs fell off. Joe, had to be hospitalized and when he went back home after "recovery" he went back to his sedendary lifestyle. Now he moves even less that usuall because his body is tight and his body saying him "do not move that much". Joe lives that life until hes 40. He is tight as metal cable, his blood vessels contracted, because of tight muscles. On top of his pain in the back, he have now high blood pressure because heart wants to pump blood so badly through narrow vains that it do extra work. 5 years later Joe visit doctor and doctor says that he has heart disease, his heart malfunctioning, because it's working as if joe would run marathons everyday. Joe dies at 50s. Autopsy shows that joe died out of cardiac arrest. His vessels looked like squashed straws, guy from autopsy is amazed that we even made it so far. Now answer this. What would have happened if Joe knew how to pick up a couch from the floor? What would have happened if he didnt listen his body and started to move, excercise stretching, joga, swimming whatever despite of his pain after accident? What life Joe could experience and what people would he met if he would started to move more?

Very true. Im 46 & I thankfully figured out on my own that the whole train, recover, get stronger BS is detrimental to longevity. I tried to share this for years in my 30s online & got mostly laughed at. I got laughed at for eating a dozen eggs a day, I got laughed at for getting naked sun exposure daily for even over an hour. Ive been doing these things well over a decade now & people who know I do still ask me what do you do to look so young. I can only bug my eyes out in amazement as Ive told them what I do for years. They want me to tell them something else. I dont eat beef either. Havent for over a decade. But I eat at least a dozen eggs, butter, raw milk only, clams, oysters, scallops when my body tells me to eat more on top of my daily eggs. Years back when I actually cared about humans, I tried to mend the 2 sides. Funny thing was (this was before carnivore fad & when vegan fad was beginning around 2010'11 ish.) the vegans were the ones who called me murderer & killer & all the names. I was on there side trying to even help them eat better as a vegan cause they ate so much ridiculous stuff no matter if they were processed vegans or unprocessed. Unpocessed veganism might be worse for most people cause at least processed is fortified with low end nutrition of some kind. They will get b12 in processed foods at least. The meat eaters were always cool with me & even agreed with my eating style.
I'm thinking of doing similar to this. I think my stomach is beat the hell up and I suspect that mostly raw eggs and dairy for a bit might be good. Then I can continue to eat cooked egg whites once I feel better. Idk man. You're here telling me it's a good idea heheh

You do make some valid points. That being said, working out (at least for me) isn't so much about longevity as it is about quality of life. I want to be able to pick shi* up, move heavy stuff around, climb up a tree because I like it. Im sure I can do physical work that would take at least 2 if not 3 of you to do, and that can be pretty useful. It just feels good to be as self reliant as possible as a man. I understand that the stress I am putting on my body to get in this kind of shape might kill me a bit earlier, thats the name of the game. If you really are as enlightened as you project, then you understand that this life you live is just one of many lives. You've been here before, and you'll get here again after your psysical body dies. So why preserve this physical body so religiously? Im not saying abuse it, but USE it. See the difference? Its interesting...when you look at old movies from the 60's 70's, 80's...iconic ideals like James Bond, or any other male role models like Charlton Heston in Planet of the Apes, Burt Reynolds, Cary Grant, Sean Connery.....whatever,...they were all fit and masculine looking but lean, like a normal fit person. Back then, bodybuilder looking characters were always the monsters or the bad guys. What happened?

The important adjunct overlooked here is wether the person in question is enjoying their exercise, many do not and that is more than likely the tipping point for when the stress is counterproductive.
During the pandemic, I found myself carrying some extra weight. I made a transformative decision to adopt a 100% carnivore diet, shedding all the excess pounds. Since then, I have not only maintained my weight loss but have achieved a level of physical fitness that surpasses anything I've experienced before, without any exercise at all. While I may not frequent the gym for traditional workouts, I do enjoy relaxing in the hot tub. My current physique speaks for itself - I have achieved a remarkable level of definition, boasting well-developed muscles and a low body fat percentage. Carbs and sugar are no longer necessities for me; I have found my optimal health and appearance through dedication to a carnivorous lifestyle. And also I have reversed type 2 diabetes. Hopefully this helps someone.
is there any substantial evidence to support these claims that lifting/training the common frequency(5-6 times a week) can cause real detrimental side effects like shortened lifespan or illnesses later in life. As far as I an tell, this sub community of fitness can only rely on pseudoscience and "common sense". In the first world, it's far more common for people to be suffering from too little energy expenditure and too high of a caloric intake. This seems to me like a coping mechanism for people who are afraid of hard work.
Lol all right dude, how about you provide all of us with a *single peer reviewed source* to support your ridiculous position that living a sedentary life extends lifespan? Go on, link it, you’re calling other people out for not proving any evidence so how about you pony up?
I pretty much agree. The only exception I can say though where weight training or exercise may be beneficial for a little while though is when someone might have had an injury or has been hospitalized for a long time, because of the "muscle atrophy". Between them eating right and just getting things "back into motion" for a few weeks in the gym and some cardio really is optimal. But as a routine or hobby long-term!? Absolutely not! That being said, EVERY SINGLE BODYBUILDER I've known, never tells you the full story about their Bodybuilding Habits, and the fact that it's more than just a hobby or fitness goal. It actually is a LIFESTYLE. They first try to lure you into the gym for starters. But before you know it, you can't eat this, you can't eat that, you can't socialize with others. They adjust and have pretty much cut out anything out of their life except for their gym and bodybuilding efforts. And why else is that!? Because when they are NOT at the gym, their body is constantly busy rebuilding the muscles that they "tear" every other day, week after week, and I've found that they have a non-stop life of body injuries like rupturing spleens and other aches and pains and always being tired from all the energy they exerted "while at the gym". At least a manual laborer would have put this insane energy into production, but gyms are a pretty bad deal! Also, they have showed me that they are constantly experimenting with and trying out new "diet" regimens and supplements because they begin peaking results or even develop allergies or intolerances with "one diet" and toxic supplements and need to constantly switch. I tell them "Man, that is a lot of stress and efforts to maintain this lifestyle!" While they agree, the end still justifies "the means" in their heads! Then to top it all off, one day it will roll out of their mouths that they got into the "roid rounds" once they feel they've got you hooked enough or as a "believer" into their lifestyle, that they can confess it to you. It's obvious why the "Rainbow" Community is so big into the gym, because after all, what kind of Man would commit to this obsession and sacrifice everything for the obsession to look so ripped!? Similar to how a Monk is willing to give up all urges and interests in the pursuits of sacrifice for "God"....
Well if you've injured yourself then you need to eat and rest to heal the injury, muscle shouldn't just start breaking down out of nowhere if you are getting enough food. Actually one way surely to break down muscle is to excersise, you might not wanna break down more if you're alraedy broken down from injury, save the energy for just letting the body heal the injury. I have gone long times with minimal movement and I don't see muscle attrophy really, maybe for some people it happens because they have some issue going on with the body, maybe high cortisol who knows.
I’m thinking of working out a bit per week just for a bit of muscle mass, but I’m trying to avoid the UA-cam fitness community because it seems that they are never content. They always want more more more. More weight lifted, bigger muscles, etc. it seems that they are never content and just end up looking quite unnatural and beating themselves up.
Would be cool if true, but unfortunately none of it is. Even controlling for different diets, exercise affects all parts of the body. Any type of movement, low-impact and high-impact, can be classified as an exercise. Ordinary things like walking or even cleaning the house/rearranging things all exercise your body. Being sedentary begins to weaken joints and bones, increases inflammation products (which cause disease), and causes an increase in visceral fat. All the people saying "their parents never exercised" are lying unless their parents were bed-ridden. What you're criticizing is overtraining. Not general exercise. Overtraining commonly occurs in sports when athletes push themselves. This causes too much strain on the body and begins to break it down similarly to not exercising. Exercise has profound affects on brain, bones, hormones, elasticity, and endurance, especially as we age. When we age, there's no more need for hormones to liquify our fat to maintain our reproductive systems or grow our tissues, so they lessen and as a result there's nothing telling fat to dissolve itself for energy. Weight gain begins to occur around people's 40s for this reason along with issues like visceral obesity and low energy (testosterone and estrogen sharply decline). Exercise triggers bone cell creation, which helps keep high bone-mineral-density (BMD) and prevents osteoporosis, increases hormones that liquify fat and give us energy (preventing both detrimental weight gain and low energy), creates elasticity around the joints (think of how older people often complain about their joints hurting when they wake up), and puts temporary strain on our organs, which in turn adapt and increases endurance (e.g. progressive running or body building). The benefits it has for cognition and the prevention of things like alzheimer and dementia disease are innumerable. Strength-exercises in particular are great because muscle burns more fat overall in a day than a session of cardio, but HIIT cardio is useful as a cardio session since its high-impact nature stresses the body in such a way that more fat-burning chemicals are released in a shorter time (compared to 1-2 hours of walking). HIIT isn't necessary if not needed though. The real thing I recommend is staying active. Any age can do a low-impact exercise like swimming, running, jogging and pair it with strength training. Elastic bands are especially good for seniors or those with disabilities where lifting traditional weights is hard since they're inflexible, and if accessible, calisthenics is the best way to strength train since it uses people's own body weight which increases balance and flexibility in a way machines at a gym don't (that plus it's free or low cost). The people in my original family grew up in rural West Africa and Asia. They didn't "exercise" in the modern sense, but were always incredibly active with crop farming, family care, livestock ranching, keeping the house. The amount of aerobic activity they engaged in easily must've at least met 1000+ calories burnt a day, but while cardio is good, strength training is really good for maintaining bodies and elasticity. I like a lot of what you have to say since some of it is scientifically sound, but you're way off base here. Books I'd recommend: Secret Life of Fat (updated findings on what we know about fat), Spark (exercise's affect on the brain). I could sit here and link "meta-analysis of health effects of exercise," but I think it'd be incredibly disingenuous to not simply look up such simple scholarly established research yourself. This is 2+2=4. Sure, I could link about arithmetic, but I mean, yeah.

It does, but by simply walking, you actually can decrease bone loss too. When you're lifting, look at your face, is it straining so hard that you're causing creases all over it, if you are, you're lifting too much.
This guy is funny to watch but how does he explain our species capacity for long distance running/stamina if we're meant to be sedentary? Why do we have all those adaptations?
@Goatis, first let me apologize for this ridiculously long response, hahahha... but I mean, you're answering my question with a question there. All variety of animals do things they don't "enjoy" in the name of survival. This environment we live in now where we don't have to employ our long distance running capabilities, is itself unnatural. Why are the adaptations present if it is unnatural for us to run long distances? The amount of sweat glands we have and the vellus hair, aparent adaptations to our nuchal ligament, our Achille's tendon, our pelvic girdle. All I'm saying is, and I am not vegan nor a defender of vegans, but if you're going to mock them for their inability to list the nutrients of the foods they starve themselves with, you have to also be able to explain away our apparent adaptations to endurance running when you claim humans are meant to be sedentary. The dude is obviously a nerd, and yeah, his face looks like a catcher's mitt, but it doesn't seem fair to let you get away with this suggestion. If you've talked about it more deeply in another video, I'm afraid I haven't seen it yet.

If you eat a carnivore diet, day-to-day tasks are the only exercise you need. The only additional exercises I do are the ones that improve my mobility and that's only because I have an autoimmune condition that causes my joints to become inflamed and fuse together.
@BeefTaco60 No, I don't do yoga stretches. I just do basic exercises like squats and some movements to keep my mobility. Exercises that strengthen the muscles around my joints also help.
I have a lot of fun at the gym and despite working out almost every day only need 5-6 hours of sleep without an issue or any tiredness problems. So I think not everyone gets burned out from the gym. I do agree though energy expenditure is reducing lifespan but I'm so bored just sitting around.
The problem wit this video is that "Training" today, is different from how humans used to "Train." Humans have trained for war for who knows how long. Besides this, humans trained in hunting, fishing, etc, as well as farming the land. The amount of work that it takes to do some of these tasks is incredible. "Rows" come from Boat Rowing, which would work out the back. Chopping wood is also one of the best back workouts you can do. The problem these days is that people aren't chopping wood for an hour to work out their back. They will load up hundreds of pounds to do exercises to work out specific muscles, while tearing and destroying their muscles in the process making them "sore" and "rebuilding" muscle, all within a 30 seconds period. People are tearing and scarring their muscles and damaging them. Then they need to rest for a large amount of days until they are back in peek form. Then there are those who have to take off a lot of time to fully rest their bodies and CNS. There is the Central Nervous SYstem damage that comes from too much and too often. Farmers do work all day every day, and while they might be a little sore at first, they aren't so sore than they cannot walk or cannot get out of bed the next day. Then there are all of the toxic supplements, Performance Enhancing Drugs, roids, etc that people are taking that is killing them. That being said... I've always enjoyed "The Bioneer's" channel and he is one of the fitness channels I respect the most, because most are peddling garbage, while he is trying to help people achieve form and quality.

I will make an argument at least for hiking as natural (obviously) due to hunting but doesn't have to be very far distances unnecessarily, but also we would kill animals and carry them back to the camp, sometimes they can be rather big. So I think it's normal to hike and "lift" but not in the way most would consider lifting or how the weight is distributed or the muscles used to carry the kill back, but I'm sure some of it is fine anyway. Though the way people workout nowadays or especially catabolic exercises is just asking for long term stress damage to your heart and joints.
Totally good, probably one of the best things you can do, prevents injuries, but you do need to walk a decent amount to stretch, because the muscles have to be warmed up.
@@counterstrike89 at 2:38 goatis tells us to eat as little food as possible. Also ''...The more food you eat the faster youre going to age..'' but in the past he has been opposed to fasting and saying that we should eat more. I guess eating small amount of food many times a day is ideal?
@@godsent_12 I think it means you should eat like 3 times a day and eat enough to stay full between meals. And eat nutrient dense food, so no large salads where you need to eat a lot from to feel full. But food high in energy and nutrients you should eat, but not too much and just enough
@@godsent_12 Personally for me, I've been looking at all sides for years now, I think humans are designed to do different things, so some fasting for awhile will be beneficial, but not always, similarly lowering blood sugar on a high fat diet for awhile is great, but then maybe take a break and eat some fruits and vegetables if you can, mixed in, as its harder to digest animal foods, its very easy to say digest a banana and some fruits.
@@godsent_12eating less does not mean fasting. Anyone that can give suggestions on good literature or reliable sources I can look up in order to learn more about this topic? I'd love to see more of this perspective on "health and fitness" since the mainstream information is pretty much enough already.
health != lifespan, living != lifespan. if you had a 100% chance to live 1 more year by living in a pod for the rest of your life, that wouldn't be "more healthy". some might choose to live in the pod because to them lifespan IS most important, but i would argue that it isn't for most people. you shouldn't AUTOMATICALLY conflate lifespan with "health" or "well-being", those are things you should define for yourself.
I take no position on exercise or no exercise, and i have no idea what you believe beyond this video. Still, i keep an open mind. Some of the stuff you said makes sense. You do realize how many people you make seethe with this claim, right? The entire population one way or another is primed to believe that working out is a productive activity, and that any energy conservation state is linked with depression.
Pretty crazy even thought it's such common sense. The burning calories pert makes sense for people who eat junk all day long and don't want to gain weight. Whereas in nature you are lucky to get enough calories to survive.
Good stuff, but I can tell you that runners are most definitely happy! Euphoric even! The runner's high is real, and most people who experience it get addicted to it. The best part is that you don't even have to get too stressed out to feel it. Just a light 30 minute jog will get you there. But all in all, I agree - avoid heavy weights and high impact exercises (of which running is *not* one when done properly).
If you dont train to fight and be strong you are Likely to be put in danger of violence from other people, being able to out do someon physically makes you much safer than not doing so, maybe you are wearing yourself out from working too much at the gym ok? I notice for me if I don’t exercise or spend time/energy focusing on something I enjoy at least a little bit during those breaks I was more likely to fall asleep and work slower during study and in general have lower quality work done. I’ve never felt overworked during bedtime or the next day even when I do use most of my break time of that day or week specifically to exercise/move or mental exercise. A little more than an hour to recover while studying or something that has to be done is more than enough time to feel well and fully rested from the previous break. @@keshavrao212 I think any sport can be good if you don’t care about the results too much. I think once you start overtraining to become the best is when it’s can start leading to sports injuries and lower test levels. I got to a pretty high level in high school wrestling considering I didn’t take it as serious as my friends. I trained 2 hours a day 5 days a week for 6 months out of the year for about 4 years straight and I think it had great benefits for me especially my hand eye coordination and how to manipulate my fight or flight response. For example I got into 3 minor fights with guys who were bigger then me since I’ve been an adult and I ended up embarrassing all of them because I surprised them by keeping my heart rate low at the beginning of the interaction then snapping and striking first when they were trying to fuck with me. Without training martial arts for those years I might not have won against those guys. This can be learned by hunting I’m sure but considering I sat in a classroom for 8 hours a day I don’t think the amount I trained was overdoing it

Hey coath
Excellent points

Very true. Im 46 & I thankfully figured out on my own that the whole train, recover, get stronger BS is detrimental to longevity. The meat eaters were always cool with me & even agreed with my eating style.

is there any substantial evidence to support these claims that lifting/training the common frequency(5-6 times a week) can cause real detrimental side effects like shortened lifespan or illnesses later in life. As far as I an tell, this sub community of fitness can only rely on pseudoscience and "common sense".

Have you ever seen anybody enjoy running long distance?
@Goatis, first let me apologize for this ridiculously long response, hahahha... but I mean, you're answering my question with a question there. All variety of animals do things they don't "enjoy" in the name of survival. This environment we live in now where we don't have to employ our long distance running capabilities, is itself unnatural. Why are the adaptations present if it is unnatural for us to run long distances? All I'm saying is, and I am not vegan nor a defender of vegans, but if you're going to mock them for their inability to list the nutrients of the foods they starve themselves with, you have to also be able to explain away our apparent adaptations to endurance running when you claim humans are meant to be sedentary. The problem wit this video is that "Training" today, is different from how humans used to "Train."
Humans have trained for war for who knows how long.

My goodness those wrinkles, I've never seen something like that....I'm almost his age, I dont have any wrinkles
What if i want to train strenght? How is weight training bad
But you shouldn't need to run to feel ' euphoric".
Runner's high = cortisol. Be careful.
If you dont train to fight and be strong you are Likely to be put in danger of violence from other people, being able to out do someon physically makes you much safer than not doing so, maybe you are wearing yourself out from working too much at the gym ok? But what's more dangerous working out a bit too much or literally being beaten physically?
Idk my family have been pretty active and have a tendance to live in to their 100s. I think it's mostly just genetics.
Unrelated, but do u know anything about multiple sclerosis, Goatis? Where it comes from /or how to treat it? I know a 15 year vegetarian who's been diagnosed and was wondering if there could be any correlation.
Watch my interview with a guy who healed MS with raw meat.
@@GoatisReviews I found it. Thanks.
@@siegodertriumphalertod Interesting. I will pass this ifno to them. But to be precise, what exactly does ketose mean?
@@toscadonna Seems logical. I told this person years ago that their health will deteriorate over time by not eating meat, but these types never listen.
So why do you believe working out shortens life span exactly? and what about all the studies showing it increases lifespan? and what about me, living sedentary, gaining weight due to it nad having joint pain because of inactivity? can you cite your sources that make you so sure being sedentary is the way to be healthy?
Many reasons. Stress and increased calorie intake are good ones to look into. There are no studies like that, I don't know why you lie.
You can't gain weight by living sedentary in and of itself. You were definitely eating garbage then.
You also can't get joint pain that way and people who workout have reportedly more joint pain.
Sources about what specifically?
@@GoatisReviews sources about how exercise induced stress (not the other type of stress, and yes they are types, and yes I am a neuro graduate) -- sources about how exercise induced stress is bad for you? all the studies say its good for blood o2 level, good for lowering bad sLDL cholesterol, good for lower heart rate too, good for sleep, and studies continuously show that exercise REDUCES cortisol levels after the fact by a large significant degree? Youre the one whose lyin buddy. But I have an open mind. Please just send me a link or two to read yeah? lets be civil and smart
@@elianmusic7452 I only now saw this. Did you mean that you want sources for how exercise induces stress? I don't understand the sentence.
Show me a study about cortisol. You can give the title.
@@GoatisReviews Strength training or training can increase cortisol but only when you overtrain otherwise training provides muscle mass preservation, increase in bone density, cognitive benefits, hormonal balances and metabolic health
I thought you workout and have workout videos? you also told stories about going to gyms and etc.
Why does working out feel good then??
You're a brainwashed slave who doesn't listen to his body.
@@GoatisReviews Or maybe it imitates or induces same feelings as in hunting?
@@T0PGUNGE0 You're not hunting anybody.
So ANYWAYS, the scientific response to this is it releases endorphins and increases dopamine and serotonin.
All things related to the feeling of relaxation, happiness, pleasure, and ease.
@@milusym Yeah, but why does working out release those feel good chemicals?
I used to run in highschool and I did find enjoyment in competition back then and formed friendships, but looking back it was really unhealthy. Lots of fatigue and I had really low bodyfat to the point where I had some gaunt going.
@@rivermoore6179 I was just sharing my experience with competitive sports. I myself am not against training, I understand that you need rest and adequate food, but I just see many people who go crazy with sports and it ends up being very negative towards their health.
What is the reasoning behind humans needing to be sedentary most of their lifes to be healthy?
walking around from time to time is fine, just be careful to not become an idiot that is going for a run daily, this will hurt your joints and most people jogging I know of, had to get knee surgery at some point. (that's not a one time thing by the way, they have to get one every 12-15 years from now...)
This video had me cracking up. Hey gatis, there are people that actually enjoy the gym. It's my happy place I do agree on moderation and making sure you rest to avoid burnout 100%
Hey, was curious if meat cravings had to do with bacteria. Every time I eat raw cheese or high meat I crave meat but if I don’t , I don’t really like eating meat. Been adding a small bit of raw cheese in the morning and night and my appetite seems to actually want meat.
no need to work out to be able to labor. labor is the work out.
Nature dictates that you must be strong ,smart and fast to survive. Even the most trivial tasks, like making a fire, requires a vast amount of strength and endurance. Even if you believe that exercise is killing you, oh well, life is killing you. Nature demands that you are physically capable at all times or you die. Even if you are the best hunter, you still have to be able to run, walk long distances and probably carry your kill.
Everything you named comes naturally.
@@GoatisReviews Yeah i get that point. All i'm saying is just as the best thing you can do is still eat meat from a butcher(as you can't hunt a wild animal) and not potatoes , by the same logic it would be better to exercise (even with barbells and dumbells) than not at all. At least that's my opinion. Plus you never know when this cozy civilization will make us go to the wilderness.
@@MrAxileas How do you compare eating meat (natural) with exercising (man-made)? Why would you do it at all?
@@GoatisReviews Like i said, imo exercise is natural and again yeah moving a log or running up a hill is not the same as lifting weights in a gym, but the latter is better than do nothing. Same as eating meat from the supermarket is better than eating organic broccoli.
@@MrAxileas All that you mentioned is dumbells and barbells, which is man-made. That's the point that people like you, who say that exercise is good for you, can't answer. Why is it better to run up a hill or move a log instead of doing nothing?
What about sports or activities that are physical but done for "fun". Talking about dancing, surfing(not huge waves of course), skateboarding, fighting, ect.
What about David Goggins? He looks really healthy for all the torture he's put himself through
@@kaitsa111 makes sense, his physique looks unnatural even, probably on some really good PEEDEES
He literally destroys his body I think training is good as long as your body can recover
Actually his face looks emaciated.
My dude you are so correct it's not funny!
My grandmother and great grandparents lived to their hundreds and ZERO of them exercised, other than moving to get errands done to eat, live and thrive.
This guy looks terrible for 35! I'm 42, 3 kids and still get ID'd for the occasional red wine. These ppl truly are slaves
Honestly if I had to guess, I would of thought the guy was close to 50.
@@Koozwad Yeah, I do have to say though, I do wonder how well weight lifters and runners would do on say a grass fed meat raw dairy diet no PED's, because fat and meat has been demonized for decades, and many athletes are health conscious being low fat with plant protein powers. ua-cam.com/video/826HMLoiE_o/v-deo.html
