Amen gents- day our Saviour was tempted, sold out,betrayed , flocked,spat at and ultimately crucified. What will we do for this Jesus? Fight for power in His church? For His tithes when He lay with His blood oozing out, for you and me? We need to confess our sins, pray and pray and thank Him for Calvary. Thank you Lord Jesus- we pray you keep us for next week’s lesson. Amen

"And they followed Him a far off." What a sad commentary! Unfortunately this is still true. The vast majority of the professed Christian Church is still following Jesus Christ a far off. (At a distance)They follow only close enough to see Him from a distance and observe what is going on with Him. They won't get involved too closely since there may be consequences--perhaps a Cross ahead. And sure enough there is for each one.! If anyone will come after me, let him/her take up his/her cross DAILY and follow me. Luke 9:22 -25. See also Mark 8:34 and Matthew 16:24
Good point. Nonetheless, John 18:15 highlights that the apostle John went with Jesus to the courtyard of the high priest. Additionally, in John 18:16, John brought Peter into the courtyard.
I want to ask the priest. Was it possible in Jesus' time for someone who was not blood, nor family, to sell another person like Judas sold Jesus? Was that in accordance with the law in force at that time?
Why does she do this? Mark 14.8 She has done what she could. She has come beforehand to anoint My body for burial. Why does she do this? Luke 7.47 Therefore I say to you, her sins, which are many, are forgiven, for she loved much. But to whom little is forgiven, the same loves little.”
