Here are five advanced synonyms you can use in your Agree/Disagree Essays for IELTS (by the way, that’s the most common essay question type)
- Instead of repetitively writing “In my opinion” use “I would argue that”. For example, “I would argue that languages should be taught in schools” or “I would argue that other subjects should be prioritised over language classes”.
- Instead of writing “I think” or “many people think” we can use the word “believe”. So we can say things like “Many people believe that subjects like science should be prioritised in schools”. In fact, we can improve upon this by using “strongly believe” so “Many people strongly believe that subjects like science should be prioritised in schools”
- Instead of saying “because” we can use “on the grounds that”. For example, “I would argue that language should be taught in schools on the grounds that they will be very useful for students if they decide to study or work abroad”.
- Instead of saying “important”, you can say “of paramount importance”. So, “To study abroad, it is of paramount importance to be able to speak foreign languages”. or “It is of paramount importance that schools prepare students for life after leaving school”.
- Instead of saying “I agree or I disagree”. We can make this better by adding an adverb like “strongly, fully or partially”. How about “I strongly agree that languages should be taught in schools” “I fully agree that languages should be taught in schools”, “I partially agree that languages should be taught in school” - which means you partly agree and partly disagree.
Because = On the grounds that
Important = of paramount importance
In my opinion = i would argue that
Think = believe
I agree/disagree = i strongly/fully/partially agree/disagree

I would argue that we should use Due to, to replace because instead of on the grounds that, because “due to” is simple.

i would argue that
Although I have a dream to study abroad, I don't even have money to pay for the exam fee😔
Can we start essay like this "On the grounds that humans are becoming vulnerable on earth, it is often argued that......."? is it correct way???
What do you mean though? What is the context?
For the ielts please,we should focus on british or american english?
Either is fine! Just stay consistent, especially when it come to spelling! For example, don't switch between color and colour, gray and grey, center and centre. If you're using British spelling, just stick to it all throughout.
@@EnglishProTips I can't thank you enough!
As far as I am concerned
Instead of I strongly agree the state ment can use I would argue that?
it depends on the context and would change the meaning a bit 😎
"promosm" 👍
Lg TV
Please, keep language simple. If you can say something using one single word, why the hell do you have to replace it for an expression that comprises 5 words???
"I'd argue that Dubai is much safer than the entire subcontinent"
Sir, does it sound accordingly?
Do you mean if it sounds correct?
@@EnglishProTips yeah
اگر ایرانی هستی سلام آینده چطوری😅
Problem come when you write a paper, adjective should not be used as much. As the concise and straightforward way is preferred. It is also doubtful whenever the adjective is used that - how much is "strongly" "paramount" etc. Language is complex 🥲
Thanks
You're welcome!
