Keep Melodifestivalen in Swedish.
I love this song too & what I like about this is when the man said this song might have been written by Benny & Bronj (Please forgive me for my lousy spelling but you get the idea). To me it sounds like something they would have written.

Don't mind them. They just automaticly connect GOOD music with Swedish music and ABBA. =) For those out there that feal hit by this statement; know that ABBA is mostly pop-disco and this 'Take Me To Your Heaven' is classical Swedish dance-band music. No connection whatsoever.

ABBA set the precedent by singing in a language understood by more people to draw from a larger audience. This is the same reason that all pilots learn English to fly.
I never would have believed that she sang that atrocity "Hero", she's so good here...what happened!! Also, I can't believe that the last verse was the last time that Swedish was sung in this competition, that is so sad! I must say that I'm pretty disappointed in Sweden's 21st century entrees to Eurovision, they have all been relatively bad and embarrassing...Jag älskar Sverige och jag vet att vi kan göra bättre!!
Johnny Logan(Ireland) won in 1980 and 1987, both really good songs. He won as a song writer in 1992 too(Linda Martin sang),but that song wasn't that good.
First of all, Sweden is not a Eastern European country, it is a Northern European country. Second of all bearing in mind Sweden is not a ENGLISH speaking country, they have some popular artists/bands like: Abba (obviously) Robyn Basshunter Roxette The Cardigans Theres a few more but they arent as famous.

She doesn't really look that different. It's just the different make-up. Plus here she has a different hairdo to hide her high forehead... she should do the same in Belgrade - it makes her look better. Currently it looks like she's wearing a wig when performing. o.O
well I look at it this way. The west is taken up by diaspora, meaning Netherlands, France, UK,Belgium, Germany = Turkey, and Spain--Romania!..LOL. The east blockvotes, with ex Yugos giving it to each other and ex Soviets giving to each other.. SO, the only countries to possibly give Sweden 12 or high points are Scandinavians, which make 2 and ICeland. So, NO WAAAY.. I think its the East again, or should i say always? LOL
