[Till The End of The Moon 长月烬明] To save the world ruled and tortured by Tantai Jin, the Devil God, Li Susu, daughter of the Hengyang Sect leader, takes a leap of faith and travels back to the world five hundred years ago. She teleports herself into the body of Ye Xiwu, the youngest daughter of the Ye family, hoping to stop Tantai Jin, the hostage prince of Jing Kingdom then who hasn't been completely corrupted by darkness, from becoming the Devil God. But to her surprise, Tantai Jin is actually Ye Xiwu's husband, and the two gradually fall in love with each other. Everything in the main story makes sense now. No wonder Ye Xiwu always said to Tantai Jin, "I must have owed you in my past life."
This is not their previous life. MY and SJ is not related to TTJ and YXW at all. That phrase YXW used is a very common phrase people used when they are annoyed when they have to do something they don’t want to do but can’t refused. Even in modern day we use it a lot~ mainly to be sarcastic.

Ming ye and Sang jiu's story will never fail to make me cry out of heartbreak. Also, it's funny how the most replayed scene ever is the part where ye xiwu is being chased off by geese and that part was so extremely funny. Kinda disappointed how xiwu is trying to make tantai jin fall in love though, and not just out of pure feelings to him. It's saddening.
And the fact that she is actually a Phoenix goddes daughter of chu huan and yet scared of birds lol 😂😂😂

I totally understood the path Sang Jiu took. She loved him whole heartly and saved him twice. The end result was the death of her entire clan. What have Ming Ye done for her (other than willing to die for her at the end)? He even left her alone to grief for her family. She took matters into her own hand because Ming Ye was never there for her. Ming Ye failed miserably as a husband. To make matters worse the pertpetrator was spared and Ming Ye's subordinates were jailed for murdering her until clan. The punishment is too light. I would resent him if I was Sang Jiu.
I absolutely agree!! He failed to make the right choice too many times. If you ask me he should have told her at first chance after the war (and getting back his eye sight) that none of the things he had said were actually true. He simply waited for too long and then it was too late…

He wasn't aware of what she was going through because of Tian Huan. When he was not there, he was busy trying to help Sangjiu. He did a lot... it is just that Sang Jiu felt it was too late and didn't quite appreciate it in the end. I think they were ill-fated but Ming Ye didn't do any less than he could have done.

I agree with you that he failed as a husband but she is doing wrong now. If she love him truly. He will not become a devil and her family can also be saved. She can save everyone if she forget revenge and starts to love him truly
Unfortunately, there is no medicine for regret. When Mingye finally understood where his mistake lies, when he knew that the most important thing was him to apologize and to notice why she is consumed by hatred, where he failed as a husband...it's already too late.
She doesn't need anyone's favor, she just tried to get what she deserved.
She can't accept, why she had to be punished for seeking justice, but someone with such a huge crime like Tianhuan, who doesn't even repent is forgiveable...

Does it mean anyone with power and wealth are allowed to do whatever they want and commit a crime without bearing any harsh punishment fit for deed? Everyone demanded Mingye to not be partial when he wanted to save his wife, but no one said a single word when the snake tribe asked for leniency for Tianhuan who just committed a grave crime deserved capital punishment.
Mingye is a great god with a job to be done, yes... but he's also a husband with a full knowledge that his wife is very naive and weak.
She has no power no backing... Even if he doesn't have love for Sangjiu, he is still supposed to fulfill his duty to protect his wife.
He can't just leave her alone without anyone reliable and strong enough to stay guard.
He has no excuse for that.
When he left once again, the only thing he did was to leave a note...
But he didn't even think about leaving her just a single soldier for her protection. He is this negligent even after he knew that the one taking care of him was his wife for God sake. At this point there should longer be any reason for a misunderstanding about his wife's feelings for him. She wouldn't have done this much for him after being dumped so cruelly, if she didn't love him.
His attitude is the same like Yehua in Ten Miles Peach Blossoms, who had no qualm of leaving his pregnant wife, someone vulnerable who can't even cook, to fend for herself.
What right does he have to demand forgiveness just like that?
They both were powerful men but didn't think even a bit to entrust their defenseless naive wife to someone trustable.

I also watched the ten mile peach blossom and always felt that way as well and during the trial of sujins down fall they still brush that event to the side like it was a mere problem and was to be overlooked because she had the backing of the Heavenly Emperor and her adoptive parents. But im glad you brought that up because the situation also reminded me From the Ashes to love series we get a backstory run yu mother story come to find out why she so bitter is because the Heavenly Queen Massacre her Dragonfish tribe for the same reason kinda. But run yu mother didn't know that who she was seeing was the emperor and thought it was a night immortal.and the queen got noooo repercussions of that like none at all because the Heavenly emperor was afraid of backlash at the from the bird tribe the alliance was needed so things were just swept under the rug. So this is what leads to run yu mother going down the revenge path and to rebel and run yu ultimately doing the same thing due mistreatment by the Heavenly empress.this situation here in this is series it is a combination of both in one it's bitter goddess who was in love with the emperor only to realize the emperor doesn't truly love her or has even made it pass at her so she decided to destroy other people's lives because she can't get what she wants and gets away with even though the serpent she does get killed.

I am sad the dreamlife is over, the love between Ming Ye and Sang Jiu haunts my heart. This actors are full of layers unveiling a new depth of skill in tune with the mesmerising, fantastic scripting, direction and production. Each episode has been tantalising, teasing a climax, only to diffuse it with a cliff hanger. 🙄 Waiting for the next is sweetly agonising. YOUKU has the best Costume and Romance Dramas so far in 2023
The dreamlife felt definitely like a time portal into a real past, how and where it all begun. Tantai Jin is Ming Ye the God from the 12 who got a chance to 'reincarnate' and in the journey of the soul is being tested.
Will Tantai Jin like Darth Vader cross over to dark side or through love be resurrected and reinstated as Ming Ye the mighty God of War defender and protector of the three realms?
Tantai jin isn't ming ye... He is the future reincarnation of devil God. You see there can be many God but there can be only one devil God. He was the past devil God who was reincarnated as tantai jin the devil fetus. His horrible fate is the proof of it. The devil God was reborn but ming ye messed with his fate by leaving his own dream for tantai jin in the future with help of of the God of time, Zi ze. Ming ye never got to reborn since the devil God still wanted to destroy the world by leaving his past consciousness with his future self. The devil God and tantai are one. He is the devil God who was reincarnated sinse his body was slayed by mingye and the 11 other gods. You will find out this later in the drama.

I have fallen in love with this story it's very captiving.
Two of he most heart breaking lines in this drama are when Sang jiu says-
"Why? Why are we being bullied? Tian Huan did so many sins but she has been forgiven. My clansmen did nothing wrong, then why were they killed?"
And when Ming ye says-
"If I never recovered, then would we have stayed together in this forest forever?" Poor guy didn't know that it was one of the last peaceful and loving moment with his wife. So many sufferings he has gone through. Just imagine seeing one of the people u love becoming a complete unknown version of themselves bcz of all the pain they went through and not being able to do anything about it.
So that's how it started dying for each other in every lifetime
Come to think of it, Tantai jin is not really a devil, he just needs care that's all but the love and care he will get from Ye xiwu is somewhat fake because she's doing all that just to destroy him, sometimes the things we're trying to prevent from happening makes them happen even faster
She thinks destroying him earlier will prevent him from being a demon but what about letting him be and just care about him wholeheartedly? Won't that change him completely and prevent him from being a demon naturally. Instead moving along with his feelings and then betraying him in the end will even make things worse because that's when all the feelings of resentment and hatred will gather in him and make him become a demon and a fiery one at that. So what Ye xiwu is doing now wil not prevent but rather she'll be the cause of him being devilized

Yeah, unfortunately during the time it was filmed, a lot of dramas got shafted, including this one because they were stricter on the censorship. So sad.
They can be broadcast in two parts, but the new rules make it so they have to have a certain amount of weeks or months in between the two parts. Really sucks cause it specifically impacted this drama in the worst timing. This show is made to be a sweeping epic one, but if it had a big break in between it would lose too much momentum which is why they decided to shorten it to 40 and then extend the episodes by 10 minutes each to try and get the whole story told in 40 episodes.

The good thing is that they most definitely will come back. Ming Ye said it best. Gods have no souls, but everyone else returns to the Netherworld. Neither Sang Jui nor Ming Ye were gods (Although Ming Ye was pretty close). I'm also sure they'll meet again. Ming Ye's debt to her is too great for them not to. I'll be crying until they do...
