Doc: did you know you can swap Marble/Certificate at the beginning of round, similar to moving mime at the end? Marble triggers when blind is selected, but Cert triggers at start of round, so you click Select, Marble fires, you move the Cert, and then once your hand is drawn, you get the card from that. Since they can both be copied by BS/BP that can result in like 8 or 10 cards per round added to the deck depending on how many copiers you have. Also still compatible with perked (fires at end of shop) and DNA (fires on first hand played). Obviously it requires a lot of unlikely occurrences in an unseeded run but it’s a useful trick to have in your back pocket for a Hologram run. (Obviously this makes deck fixing a nightmare but it is fun and silly.)
Yes. But did YOU know, whenever you use a combination of Immolates and Hanged Man to delete your hand, you will instantly redraw a fresh hand; however, if you do this to your starting hand, while holding Certificate, then Cert will trigger again, allowing it (and Blueprint copies) to add more cards per round?
if you get hand size 5 and duplicated immolates, would this allow each immolate to be +5 cards? each immolate clears the entire hand and then each time certificate adds 5
Okay so this sounds crazy, but I tried a different approach for this seed in Ante 1. You gotta do some things that seem drastic but I believe it's worth it. Instead of skipping Overstock, take it and sell the Fist for Brainstorm, not taking Star. It hurts the early game but it changes everything later on - around Ante 10 or 11, I stumbled upon a natural negative DNA (and a Burnt Joker which is pretty sweet, but anyway). You still get to stabilize and I wound up with 5 Brainstorms and 1 Blueprint and a hand size of 3 (and then 4 with Pallette Voucher)
1:26:14 Parrot Dash mentioned!!!!! I would never have expected to hear you mention Parrot Dash in one of your videos, but the fact that you did (and that even you know who she is in the first place) is amazing :3
Mistakes were made but I’m more disbelieving of only needing 3 hours of sleep while I’m often at 10 hours and can be upto 20 because multiple health issues
For non-serpent rounds, wouldn't you get to have an extra king in hand if you played the cryptids *before* doing DNA (so, winning on the DNA hand)? Doing DNA first throws away a re-draw, since it puts your hand size over the limit, unless I'm thinking about it wrong

@@drspectred But did YOU know that kids love the taste of cinnamon toast crunch?
@@drspectredwait so if you have 5 hand size or less you could just perkeo an immolation to get as many cards as you wanted in 1 hand?
if you get hand size 5 and duplicated immolates, would this allow each immolate to be +5 cards? each immolate clears the entire hand and then each time certificate adds 5
@@drspectred This feels like forbidden knowledge.

Not surprising.
People radically and consistently underestimate how powerful "scouting" is in seeded runs.
Doc I can’t believe you miscalculated
Now who can I trust in this world

Damn you got a big deck
i love your video and content

Each copy of baron increases scoring per king in hand. So if you only have one copy of baron, having one more king is still way less points
Ohh right. I forgot about moving the blueprints and stuff. Bad brain.
