Adam, you are an amazing performer! You take songs that I never really liked and turned them into earworms that I find myself singing all day!!! I LOVE WHAT YOU DO WITH YOUR VOICE!!! You are a star!!!!
Adam is by far the best contestant that has appeared on American Idol since the first show. He is so different and so talented. I think he will be the winner with Danny and Chris following him. Allison is very good but still so young. Adam is able to add so much to any song that he sings.
Adam is PHENOMENAL!!!!! This performance, vocals and arrangement is SPECTACULAR. Adam has the most amazing smile and wonderful infectious laugh. Love you ADAM!!!!
I knew the minute I heard this song, that EVERY performance would knock us all dead! Amazing! I couldn't wait for Tuesdays, just to see Adam's version of whatever song, genre, what have you, that he would perform. He never failed to dissapoint! I can't wait for the Queen tour. Gonna be epic.
I loved it!! He turned a boring old country song into a current rock song. I love it when he hits those high notes. Awesome!! He is so freaking amazing!! He will be the next American Idol, so Adam fans don't forget to pick up the phone and vote every week. GO ADAM!!!
THIS is when all my doubts of who adam was went away...i KNEW nobody else could do this, nobody else could make that song sound that outrageous and with those amazing vocals
I love this version too! It's so unique but that's what is so great about Adam, his unique way of interpreting songs. Not just anyone can do that.

i remember when this aired. me, my mom, & my sister were all freaking out. he was always our favorite. he really is amazing. everytime he would hit his high notes we would die. in a good way. -3

Ring of Fire was long one of my favorite songs so I should have hated it but by the time he got done singing I was so moved by it I was in tears.
After a performance like this Adam well should have won the show but I guess someone so controversial was too much for certain people.
I love Adam's version of this song. It's so.....enthralling. As for Randy Travis' reaction to Adam....well, he's a country superstar. One of the older generation, so yeah, his reaction isn't all that terrible. To be honest, he and Adam both hail from very different worlds. That Randy gave him points for originality is great.... and he didn't just assume anything on the fact that Adam has nail polish on.
Totally beyond the Idol gig - Adam is in a league of his own. Waiting for that first album. I hope this is on it. Would love to hear him sing something from Erasure on Idol like "love to hate you" or anything by anybody!

I think you either love or hate this version. Though I love Johnny Cash,I think this is absolutely amazing,love that he is using minor keys. Love from Bonni,Denmark.

Absolutely beautiful rendition of this song. His voice is extremely hypnotic especially on this song. I couldn't take my eyes of the screen and when I closed my eyes I felt the passion that came from him while he sang this song. This guy is the only reason I am watching this season. My favorite performance of his is still Mad World.

Ok anyone who listens to that performance and says it's bad needs some musical education. period. Adam Lambert is THE single most talented singer on American Idol 2009! End of Story. Kris is a close second, then Allison. None of the others deserve to be in the same room as those three.

Don't watch idol at all; bunch of wannabes tryin to hit the bigtime, but Lambert's version of ring of fire brought back great memories of Freddie Mercury; flamboyant, innovative, cutting edge, rockin, bitchin, bad to the bone....Lambert is already a superstar and he hasn't really broke out the big guns yet. He'll go far....way far.....

Everyone should remember that Johnny Cash did a NIN song. He would have appreciated and respected Adam's rendition of his song.

i don't think ai has ever seen anyone like him (so unique, yet so... hot). and he looks like he's been doing this his whole life. i thought that was a very strange but very cool version of the song. those high notes at the end were a bit scary, but overall he was brilliant.
the camera spinning around him throughout the whole performance was really annoying, tho.
I know, Adam is such a great awesome talent, he made this and "Whole lotta love" WAY better than the originals! (sorry LZ fans!) But I didn't know about the queen tour, is he gonna be the singer?
I think Adam Labert is the sexiest openly-gay singer, plus amazing all-around artistry.. he's the IT contestant.. and I'll vote for him to win American Idol
