I remember when my family got stationed there in the late 80’s-early 90’s. Even though I was a kid, this was by far my favorite base we were stationed at.
I just went through Twentynine Palms this past weekend on a photography trip. What a really cool, pretty little desert town. I live in the Phoenix area (going nowhere-I LOVE where I live), but I was surprised at what a nice feel 29 had!🙏
Glad you enjoyed your visit. We had a lot of great new businesses come in and it gives it a warmer since of community. Yes just all sorts of little spots popped up to photograph and visit
Hi Jessica, thank you for the video. I may be working in 29 Palms starting in August this year. Can you tell me about the air quality during fire season? Thanks!
Hi 👋 my best advice on the most accurate and current information on air quality during fire season, it's advisable to check real-time updates from sources such as the Environmental Protection Agency's (EPA) AirNow website, local air quality monitoring stations, or apps like PurpleAir.
I live in 29 Palms it’s hot as hell in the summer cold in the winter cool and very windy unless you’re in the military you can not go to the naval hospital high desert hospital is also known as high death the national park is cool, the water sucks so buy bottled water instead grocery prices suck everything is way too expensive gas prices are high yeah living in 29 Palms is great lol
@jessicathiele2727 The Marines sent me there in 1975 and I couldn't stand the place that is until I woke up one day looked at the brown mountains and realized I could really like this place when I got out of the Marines I stuck around for a year then went back to N.J. After forty years in San Jose it's time for one more chapter of my life back in 29 still in contact with a few friends mostly at the Bowladium. What I always liked about 29 is nonconformity is tolerated as long as one has kindness RIP George Mintz, Ray Pro, Chuck Rukas and others from my bowling alley click
My son bought a 5 acre property in Yucca Valley a year ago which actually has 2 houses on it - I suggested building a small out building such as a geodesic dome or a yurt or something similar. What would be the best way to go ? thanks for any advice

I was stationed there back in 08.. I just bought some land and plan on building a nice desert oasis 🙏🏾

great job Jessica 👏 keep it up
Lived here in 95-96 when my father was stationed there. 'Til this day I have the fondest memories here. Would love to live out there again some day.
Love hearing that story. We have grown a lot so a few more things to do and places to eat so it’s even better 😊
Is there any spiritual retreat for yoga practice?

Just fyi, the base is NOT open to the public, and subsequently neither is the hospital. Just do yourself a favor and go to Palm Springs.
Did I say that in the video? No. Thanks anyways.
@@jessicathiele2727 Lol
If you need any assistance finding housing, I’m happy to help
I just cam back home I was working out there and stood for 4 days
At least you beat the heat, it’s warming up!! ☀️
It’s fine in 29. 😂
Sure is, I love 29
Twenty-nine Palms - Where the hell is.
it’s changing…it’s a cool
scene there…lots of LA people are moving there. No we aren’t ruining it- we are bringing musicians, artists, writers etc.
I can’t tell you how much I hate that town
Aww😕 I love the recent changes to 29 Palms. Some of the best shops and restaurants in the morongo basin
Lol, damn. Why?

I would definitely advise that he call the county to see what can be built and how it can be used
👍 great video, keep it up.🌴🪴
