The reason is political. The crooked FIFA club (the top crook was just re-elected by his Cronies) is almost all men, older men, chauvinistic men who keep women down and stick with the promotion of male soccer players. This good old boy system will not change. Women players in most countries have to have a full time or part time job on the side to
      make ends meet. Shameful.

You will. You read the FIFA 2023 schedule. It may not be pretty for Vietnam but to even reach the point were they are playing in an open forum for the world to see, against the second highest ranking team in the world is an honor which they have richly deserve

Two games for the price of one!

In the second half, Portugal proposed the same tactic that the Chileans presented in the match against Germany (0: 0) in June with which they stopped the Germans: run long and fast. The Portuguese were unlucky.

No, the the Portuguese were UNABLE!

@@Blueridge1961 How ungracious of you to say the Portuguese were unable. In the second half they showed plenty of ability. Germany faltered and were unable to adjust to Portugal's change of style and strategy and some important substitutions. Hum-drum Germany plodded along and paid for it.

Portugal and especially the Agave region has hosted disproportionately many international games when put in the relation to the dearth of interest in the general population which is minimal to non-existing. Whoever decides such things should finally wake up and make some overdue changes. I can think of many better and more deserving venues, just in Europe, before including many other, women soccer friendly parts in the world. Next door,
Spain, would be a good start.

Portugal does not have a female CR7, and the fact they ironically shared the same group with Serbia made their women meetings a desire to revenge for their men.

She always fails to react to adjustements of opponent at HT. when things start to go badly, she just hopes her players will sort this out by themselves. she needs to get sacked, for sure. very little structure and still no identity. individual quality is saving her so far. stark contrast to previous (interim coach) with whom same players played fun football with clear approach.
