Just by chance I found this as I was scrolling through motorcycle stunt videos. But everything Dr. McKee says also applies to business and technical writing. Even for informal content not being published. A few extra minutes spent editing can save hours later on.

How can we tell how our paper will benefit the readers of the journal? Recently, I wrote a cover letter to a journal editor and found that I was having a hard time describing the benefits of the manuscript to readers. I repeated our findings!
