On this episode of Chef's Table, James Beard award-winning journalist, Scott Haas, sits with Marc Vetri at Alla Spina in Philadelphia.
Philadelphia is a city where the Italian-American influence has been strong for a century, both politically as well, as gastronomically, and Marc Vetri has taken the food back home to its roots.
Although he was raised in an Italian-American household with cuisine inspired by the south of Italy. Marc had a life changing experience when he wound up in Bergamo, in the north of Italy, and returned to Philadelphia with a head full of ideas that took Italian food to new heights.
Now Marc Vetri sits down with us on Chef's Table.

Lancaster now is so much different now then 9 years ago! More built up more restaurants coming in, excellent food scene, and more and more people moving to the area
Forget these guys, bring back Adele Schober.
Way too much talk - way too much Scott Haas talking over his subject resulting sometimes in two totally different lines of dialog. It was OK for Robert Altman, not for an interview.
Marc has quite a significant stutter, which is not at all apparent in this interview (side note, Marc does a ton of work with charities for kids that struggle with stuttering and in general he is an absolute gem of a human being for how he gives back to the community). As a former employee of his that has spoken with him on countless occasions, this interview really stood out to me with its aggressive editing to remove any indication of his stutter. I think that may be why it seems like Scott Haas dominates the interview, because so much of Marc's dialogue is edited
what a joke, interviewer talked more than Vetri, and read the description, mentions the interviewers James beard award but doesn't mention any of the awards Vetri won, and I'm pretty sure Vetri won a James beard too.
