Does anybody else feel this song is so fitting since it plays right after Aiden hears his sister is alive at the start of the game? It's so filled with hope and completely compliments what Aiden must be feeling after that radio call.
When i first heard this playing, i couldn’t understand why it was so befitting in that scene, heading towards Villedor. It’s sounds like after thousands of miles later and you get a glimpse of hope that the one you’re searching for is close and you get hopeful to finally see the one you’ve been looking for. I understand how Aiden must be feeling optimistic to get to Villedor and find his sister after years of search. Scene hits differently know that think about it.
This song is by far my favorite on DL2's OST. It's so hopeful, happy, and gives you a feeling of wonder. It also gives a slight sense of loss, of what once was. A tinge of sadness & sorrow. But how far you've come as well. That maybe despite it all you can still make something good of this fucked up and ever darkening world we find ourselves in. Music in media is important to me. music in genral is.
I definitely feel it represents aiden's hope for finding his sister after being told she's alive. That's the only time this track plays I believe, at the beginning of the game.
@@LokiFops I agree. It really does feel like hope. It also comes again when... SPOILERS BELOW The city power comes on again after you meet the assassin crosbow sniper lady.
@@Nekavandre oh right! I almost forgot! Regardless it still seems to be related to feelings of hope, though in that scene the hope seems to be more coming from lawan. Interesting how another character's emotions other than Aiden's can affect the soundtrack. Most tracks seem to support aidens perspective.
When this ost started playing I felt like I was in heaven even though It all has gone to hell. Running around in the beautiful environment made it so much better
So peaceful hearing this while running around and seeing the bird flocks fly away and everything. Definitely one of the best videogame soundtracks ever lol
Gotta love this song playing while the sun shines really beautifull, and you zipline down and... jump. Jump in that fresh water to swim in. Jump in there, to save your lost sibling.
This song really hyped me for the rest of the game it really expresses the feeling of a brand new adventure and it makes me so excited to finish this game
The soundtrack is a surprise in DL2. Even petty side quests are given some catchy music when good things happen. You can feel that little hope in this ruined land.
One of the best part out of both of these games is that the side quest always for the most part have interesting characters some even come into play in other quest or even main story missions
This song embodies the feeling of a small sliver of hope shining in an almost dead world. And that hope pushes you to keep going in an already dying and hopeless world.
I love it when composers change the scale of a theme to fit a mood. In this case, the theme is in a major scale instead of the main theme's minor scale.
If someone ever makes a dying light show or movie they should use this song at the end of the film or show along with the announcer saying the iconic line "goodnight and Goodluck " idk popped into my head as I was playing the game. Song could be used as a montages to kinda show the aftermath before hitting end credits
I feel like Dying Light 2s music had a greater spectrum of emotion than DL1. I was initially taken aback but it goes hard in every direction. Reflects the difference in character between Aidan and Crane perhaps. They differ in their relationship to the world and parkour, intorduced at different times during the outbreak and their lives.
At first, with all of Dying Light 2's music, i was kinda meh. Then it started to grow on me, and now i think some are on par with the first game, and some are even better. Dying Light's themes are all about a dark and gritty future for human kind, whilst Dying Light 2's themes and music is about a hopeful and happy future for everyone, which i really like.
I don't listen electro music, pop music, rock music no more in the score. I want a golden age Orchestra can make the music feel relaxing with the composer and conductor. My QVC Adventure composer John Williams is quit scoring our QVC Adventure show from retiring. I'm not picking Hans Zimmer, Steve Jablonsky, Danny Elfman, Patrick Doyle, Graeme Revell, or any new composers. Just John Williams, or Alan Silvestri, he score the Back to the Future trilogy. or John Debney, or a french dude Alexandre Desplat. Or Bruce Broughton. Or Joel McNeely. or Howard Shore. or Trevor Jones.
This game confuses me… if aiden Traveled over 2,000 kilometers or what ever to find his sister then where did he even start… if he literally came back Villidor and now acts like he doesn’t remember anything… why didn’t he just stay there if the hospital was right there in the city … I must of missed sum
Starting the game off with this song sending you into the journey is such an unforgettable moment.
That's exactly what techland said to me
15 years later
Fully agree. When I first heard it I reloaded the checkpoint before it started just to hear it again. Phenomenal track. It blew me away.

This song also gives me the dying light 1 vibes where Crane saves his friends and have hope on new things

Right?? So fitting I thought it was gonna be called "She's alive" but this title works
It gives off that feeling of peace and calm. Just cause civilization has ended doesn't mean the world has ended :)
‘Distantant sounds of peace enter your mind’. You say to yourself “ alright, enough peace, back to killing everyone I see in a drop kicking mayhem”.
"Who thought the end of the world could be so peaceful. I wish Crane could have seen this"
As long as you can still breathe and you can walk the earth but survive it’s just hard times right ?
Then everything goes to shit
@@-.-.---.--...--.-.......-..... lol drop kicking mayhem is more fun. this gives the feeling of hope, that the fun is not over

yeah, what a great soundtrack to start the journey, the feeling is awsome
when i heard this while running through the forest, it was just making the whole scene amazing

Such a cool mix of synth and orchestra.
You can hear hints of 'Empowering Yourself' and whatever theme the Survivors use throughout this song, which is a nice touch.
Nice observation!

Yep. Goosies
What I really like about this song is it's both living up to the name of being hopeful and energetic, but also quite sad somehow.
the best track in the game so far
Not going to lie this song makes me feel emotional happiness and sadness at the same time I can't stop listening to this😭
Gotta love this song playing while the sun shines really beautifull, and you zipline down and... jump.

Thank you Zanny for starting my search for this song

Какая атмосферная музыка. Создатели молодцы :)

This show that the world didn't ended there still hope!
Something cool is that if you run the music gets more intense, but if you stop running the music calms down. It makes the game truly feel like a movie
This music is fucking great I can feel the sense of freedom by listening to it 9/10 thanks techland for making this music
When I was playing and I heard that, I thought I had won a reward or something, but out of madness, that song really motivates me
Gives feelings of excitement and adventure. They should’ve played it when you entered the big city.
When every zombie game bgm: sad, death and despair.
Dying light 1 & 2: Your friends turned to zombie, but there's a hope and reason to live.
I'm glad that tech land puts heart and soul into what they do unlike other companies
there really was hope
First 20 seconds of this is just👌Hits me on a primal level...
After traveling thousands of kilometers, after reaching the big city and finding out your sister is still alive, I think this theme fits good
I love the soundtrack and this is one of my favorites. It's so beautiful 😍...
This music should be playing everytime we survive the night without dying :)
underrated soundtrack
the best soundtrack I have ever heard
Just started playing this game and didn't expect this uplifting music, was a nice change.
peaceful song, extremely chaotic lore
When a game gets carded for its vibe license.
This song is so goddamn wholesome :)
The inspirational music that plays while you try to climb the antenna after waking up from the first safe house
Sad, of Lost moments, maybe there's Hope? I love this game soundtrack
Lovely track, gives me Disco Elysium vibes all over
that's cuz its basically the whirling-in-rags theme
I love this beginning, nicely job Techland lol
That was such a nice view when he stepped outside his room and the music starts a nice morning..😍
Run Boy...Run!
I need a 1 hour version of this
I Just hitted the loop Button ahah
Riding upon Torrent through rocky fields in “Elden Ring” while listening to this track broke me.
One of my favorite tracks of the whole game~
Love this. ❤
This is the best opening in gaming ever

This is now a song I use when running
This music makes the game like cinematic.

She's alive

THIS!!
Man Imagine how happy Aiden must have been to hear this.
It’s okay to shed a tear listening to this song...
Th Devs really need to fix the bugs in this game~
Yeah on PS4 there's some issues that ruin the atmosphere... But I'm still plaing
Fixed
This has Minecraft Story Mode vibes to it at the beginning to me.
Realising Mia is Alive :)
Realising that she’s the reason Aiden deeply gets involved with Villigor and ends up being bitten :(
Straight up bad luck
Love it
I don't know about anyone else, but I thought this game had a beautiful story.
