Now I know how my SS trim is attached, thanks for making this video. My Datsun Roadster doesn't have the sliding collars in the middle though. It has unions at each corner which can't slide, so I'm still looking for the secret to removing it without damaging it. Did you re-install the gasket with some of the trim pre-installed, or did you put all the trim back in after the windshield was in?

I'm curious about the installation process. Do you put the windshield in first and then the stainless trim?

I think you gotta do that after, the chrome trim also kinda acts like a locking strip etc, meaning it helps hold and seal in the glass
