I think it would be neat if Sagat’s story in World Tour deals with him taking on a new student now that he has grown wiser and is no longer the raging brute he was when teaching Adon, plus with World Tour being about “the true meaning of strength” I imagine Sagat would have some fun dialogue regarding his philosophy of combat being the truest form of expression between souls
I think Sagat should give mentorship another shot. I always liked the hands off approach more Street Fighters have with their students, and I think Sagat passing on his life wisdom to a young troubled person would really endear the character.
Yeah, considering that even Claw and Boxer mellowed out in the events of SFV, with Boxer taking on Ed as his protege, I think Sagat in a mentor role would fit well.
Sagat stepping into a mentor role would definitely fit SF6 given the emphasis on making every character fit in World Tour mode as a teacher to your avatar, and being able to visit his classic stage in Thailand and just be there would be sick

I think Sagat should have another disciple under him to contrast the personality of Adon. It would be super cool to see the juxtaposition and how Sagat has grown as a character over time.
I want say 2 things about sagat: 1. I imagine sagat kabri kabrong (wooden stick weapon) in this game but he is a king so he doesn’t need to. 2. Sagat is very important for street fighter franchise because he created the first street fighter tournament so he need to stay in street fighter no matter what
Positive change arcs in storytelling are almost always great, imo. Sagat is much more interesting than a character like Bison, who (while being a great, iconic villain) is pretty much a one-note bad guy.

Akuma/Gouki would never team up with Bison/Vega. Akuma despises men like Bison, and even in his obsession for more power, lives by a code of honor. Despite his love for fighting, Akuma doesn't readily kill his opponents, with the Raging Demon reflecting his ethos: if you're not an evil person, the Demon won't kill you. He straight up killed Bison with the Demon to prove that point. Akuma would easily recognize Sagat as a kindred spirit. Sagat is one of my personal favorite SF characters ever and also one of my mains. The way I see it, his story has come full circle, hence why he's not in the SFV story. He's found his inner peace and purpose in life beyond battle and he's come to turn his bitter hatred for Ryu into respect, which is mutual. Their rivalry makes them dig deep and push themselves to new limits. With SF6 being a far more chilled out game lacking any real world ending scenarios, Ryu has mellowed down. Sagat is already much mellowed in SFV. When Sagat returns in SF6, it's to simply test his mettle with Ryu.
Back in the 1980s when we 1st see Sagat his background was a mystery because all we knew was that he was The Final Boss in Street Fighter and people thought he was a villain because he had an eyepatch and then in Street Fighter 2, he joins M. Bison. Hasbro revealed that Sagat wasn't evil but a man of honor who was blinded by Rage as said in his file card from The G.I. Joe Street Fighter Crossover in 1993 which was why Capcom used that route as they used Ken's last name of Masters from Hasbro.
Bring back all the original 4 Kings. Yeah i know Shadaloo has fallen but they can do their own thing. Bison resurrected by FANG/JP whatever, Balrog getting back to boxing, Vega back to stalking Chun-Li in the shower and Sagat being a badass and finally reaching Ryu's power level. You can't have a SF game without the 4 Kings
Sagat's story is so relatable to all of us that are learning to play FG which is one of the reasons why he is so likeable. Most of us starting out would just blindly auto pilot during a match with a main focus of just trying to win and not learning to improve.
Story wise, I'd love if Capcom had Dan corner Sagat to a fight to the death. Sagat obliterating Dan to near death, showing his greater strength and skills, and then nursing Dan back to health, showing Sagat's maturity and experience in teaching Dan to not let revenge be what fuels him. Dan, now having respect for Sagat and a better understanding of how to grow as a world class fighter, asks Sagat to teach him. Then Dan combines his father's style and Sagat's style to finally becoming a respected fighter of immense skill. He would no longer be treated as the "joke character", and would combine the best of his family's style, Sagat's style of Mua Tai, and even experiencing a revelation into Goken's, Ken's, and Ryu's styles. This would be pretty bad-ass to see a serious Dan utilizing all of these styles moves. But knowing Dan, he'd figure out a way to screw it all up. 😅
love sagat's story starting out really brutal like him killing dan hibiki's father & his scar from the shoryuken after defeating ryu glowing showing his fresh hatred,fighting off m. bison after seeing a brainwashed ryu in alpha 3(that feels like something similar was going to happen in the animated movie if he went to the final battle or it got a sequel.)/realizing the consequences of his path fighting dan & being humbled by his meeting with ryu in 4 that he considers him a friend now(love that street fighter 2v foreshadowed it.:3) while i wish in 5's story he(alongside sakura kasugano.) had a scene fighting ryu being what gave ryu his moment using the power of nothingness do like he reflects on his past that he subsides the dark hado when his village gets attacked/refuses kage's temptation. i don't think his story's done yet and for 6 would love him fighting ryu now that he's more content(really don't need m. bison coming back as if anything i'd love to see him take on akuma seeing their similarities or differences in viewing ryu's way of life with fighting.)/go all out on adon challenging him(like how in unlimited they fought again & came to respect each other.) or training a new muay thai fighter.
Sagat still has unfinished buisness with Satsui no Hado (kage) I would like to see Sagats story arc like this, Sagat has once again proven himself the top fighter a title he has had before, He is now meditating in a remote mountain cave overlooking the small village he protects. His tiger is his only visitor, he has been meditating for months in this cave not eating or drinking, only trying to gain enlightenment, purge his ego, he is emaciated wirry but still strong, (he looks like the starving Buddha) deep in meditation he barely notices the terrible storm causing chaos outside his cave, heavy Thunder and lightning bewildered and fearfull Sagats tiger growls at the entrance to the cave, Sagat seeks to tame his tiger, but it's transfixed and with a life and death growl prepares to fight the storm, Sagat rises, Scolds the tiger and it shrinks to the back of the cave at his command, seeking to investigate why his tiger reacted so angrily he steps to the entrance of the cave, he's horrified to see his village flattened burned destroyed by the storm, ROAR! An anguished roar breaks his concentration, turning back into the cave he sees his tiger being held lifeless by a dark character (kage) he tosses the tigers body at Sagats feet. Sagats scar and eye soccet now burst open with a dark energy A rage unlike hes ever felt "It is I that gave you those scars... Not ryu.. Says the entity.. DIE DEMON! Sagat belows and a fight breaks out.. Sagat is shown exiting the cave. His demeanor lifeless, skin grey limbs gnarled wirry distorted, chest scar and eye soccet erupting with the dark Hado, fingers are almost tighter claws, feet have claws as well his face also looks like a blend of human tiger and demon, no emotion except murderous intent when fighting an enemy. Basically Sagat is infused with the satsui no Hado (Kage) after everything he held dear and connected him to humanity was destroyed by Kage.. Sagat took the power, embracing the rage.. Thus becoming tiger demon sagat. NOW very powerful with more anamalistic tiger moves he has a tiger blow that resembles a. Charging tiger spirit, and right after that sagat can "pounce" like a tiger following that shot. Also when Sagat grabs an opponents head he now with his other hand reaches into his flaming chest, pulls out some dark energy and punches his opponent with the energy. Also his muay Thai clinch he knees and also eviserates his opponents with his tiger clawed feet. Sagat is faster, Savage, soulless, sinister, full. Of rage almost completely consumed by the dark hadou. This guy rivals Akuma in demonic nastyness.
Interesting bit of info regarding Sagat in SF4. When they were promoting the game, there was a short anime film showing what the fighters were up to and then preparing for Shadaloo return. Several Shadaloo agents went to bring back the 3 kings. Balrog and Vega accepted it without question, but Sagat basically told the agent to screw off and presumably killed him with a tiger shot.
Well first of all, Sagat is cool, sagat is strong, sagat is tall, sagat has cool moves, sagat will be the second bald character( dhalsim and sagat baldie battle), he has an eyepatch, he has a cool story, his character design as an older guy would probably be awesome, I mean why shouldn’t he be in street fighter
Sagat isn’t the most exciting character, so I can see why he’s been neglected. He wouldn’t be one of my picks for the next round of DLC; I’d prefer someone like Dudley, Dan or Makoto.

Not accurate info. Sagat wasn't "infected" with the satsui no hado - that was Kage which was confronting him in the form of (Evil) Ryu.
