Great vid Chris. I've been using a Boss Reverb as well as Vibroto and Chores peddles in front of the board at church. As will as compressor peddle. The Boss has the "shimmer" really nice when playing some background over the minister at the right time. I'm playing a 12-string.
outstanding...loved this effect. nice playing, Chris
Another great video. I have learned a lot over the past year from your videos. Thanks !
Sounds fantastic. Your video's are the best
Excellent tutorial…please keep them coming
Thank you for the video Chris
I bought a source audio Collider and using the shimmer setting is of course amazing for acoustic guitar.
Thanks Chris... Excellent instruction ! ☘...
Hey Chris...great stuff on effects, especially for those of us relatively new to all this. At some point maybe talk about amp-only setups, and how/when do you switch btwn effects while playing a song? Keep 'em coming!
Thanks, very interesting!
Great video and great sounds from your playing. Would you use a chorus pedal on an acoustic guitar on a live gig?
Thanks for using a $5k guitar and $300 reverb so I can get an idea how my Yamaha might sound through a TC Electronic HOF. 😆
My yamaha sounds WAY better than that Taylor... and $300 is pretty cheap for a good reverb .....$300 Australian that is! 🤣🤣🤣
Still, for most, just using a budget Yamaha or any beginner guitar would show what the pedal could do. 😊
Wow This video was awesome I can’t wait till morning I’m gonna pull my RV6 out of box and use it on my Maton guitar. Your Taylor has made me a believer in there guitars Jim MCGEE OUT👍🏾🎸
Enjoyed this video immensely. Considering a Martin acoustic with the Roland COSM preamp. Any chance you could demo it?
8:12 LOL he was like "U SEE THAT??......THAT WHAT AM TALKING ABOUT"
Thanks Chris
Is that the original Chris McKee signature Taylor?
There’s a lot of discussion on various media, talking about the effect of running an acoustic guitar with a pick up system, into an electric guitar amplifier.
The suggestion is that an acoustic guitar sounds thin, and basically not satisfactory.
Most commentator will tell you that an acoustic guitar sounds better, when amplified through an acoustic amplifier.
So, the question that comes to mind; what happens when you place a pedal, for example, a DI, or an EQ, or effects Reverb, Delay, Chorus between the acoustic guitar and an electric guitar amp?
The amplifier is receiving a signal from the pedal, not the acoustic guitar.
Love these “how to” videos especially with all the different products out there.
Thank you. I have a Taylor 114CE and wondered what it would sound like with the Strymon Big Sky. (PS: I like the way you are dying your beard grey) :)
Wish I could work some of that into my bluegrass
nice work... please review chorus too...
All you need on your new t-shirt is a bird standing one foot on the head stock... and I will get flashbacks to 1969...lol
Serious question, where can find a tab of what you're playing? 😁
Hello, good, lr Baggs have special pedals reverb for acoustics guitars, and a delay on acoustic are they useful and to play what? Thanks
If you could do a split screen with a camera on your pedal so we could see you and your changes while you are switching your pedal that would be great.
What´s the pick up?
Nice intro to some of what can be done. I tend to go for a more a natural sound when I play, maybe add just a touch of chorus and verb. But you kind of have me thinking about being a bit more adventurous from time to time when we don’t have someone on keys…
You need to compress the bandwidth of accoustics before going into most reverb pedals designed for the smaller bandwidth of electric guitars... If not compressed, you will hear unwanted artifacts from the reverb pedal not being able to handle the larger signal bandwidth...
I have a Boss 63 Fender Reverb pedal, but never thought of using it with an acoustic...
You should try it. I have whole separate pedalboard just for my acoustic guitars. It has three different reverbs and two different delays, and a Harmony pedal and a chorus pedal. With the right Fx it's amazing how pretty you can make your acoustic guitar sound👍🏽
I love this Channel I would like to buy a Amp from your website what do you guys recommend?
Depends on what you are plugging into it and your overall amp needs.
@@AlamoMusic well I am playing my Telecaster for worship at my church and I need an Amp that is under the price of 500$ with preamps installed, I was thinking about the Fender Mustang LT25?
What is your opinion on the Fender Twin Reverb for acoustic guitar? Anyone?
Loads of Clean-headroom, (phenomenal amp) but super heavy to tote-around, on-a-gig. I use a 65 Princeton Reverb. It's perfect for the gigs that I play (for acoustic or electric) - with high-quality sound.
When i searched and this showed on my first video, inknew I came to the right place
how to use reverb with an acoustic guitar? Run your signal through a compressor first and then into your reverb.
Mckee? As in related from Andy?
I had asked the same question too
Now i gonna show you how the drivin weel accelerator worts on exaple of my lambogini
Why not show the pedal while you're talking?
He can talk
Even better get a Yamaha Trans Acoustic guitar...various models, with onboard room and hall reverb plus chorus. I've got the FGC-TA. Yamaha's system is hands down better sounding than the LAG Hyvibe. No need to buy a reverb pedal.
Affordable and Strymon should never be used in the same sentence
Reverb with an acoustic. Ask AL Dimeola. Solved. Case closed
Why?
too many options that someone would use just once in one song that most likely you don't like
Toilet?
Stop talking so much. and play. Just play!!!
You've come to the wrong channel
