Dr Debbie, Yeshua drank wine. And it says I believe in proverbs that wine gladdens the heart. It’s only a sun to be a drunkard. And no where does it say that you can’t smoke tobacco. Don’t get boxed in by man made doctrines. Holiness has to be from within your heart, who you are at the core, your thoughts and intents of the heart is what matters to the Father. Be blessed.
@JohnCavanagh-g3w yes, but it also says no drunkard will inherit the Kingdom of God. Please be careful when encouraging someone to drink even if for your purpose of not being legalistic, of course. If they were led to abstain, then they are doing God’s will for them. God does call some to not drink as in a nazarite vow, like John the Baptist who drank no strong drink. You never know if alcohol will become someone’s weakness. Bondage to anything is not of God and some do well, playing it safe, by avoiding it altogether. We must be led by the Holy Spirit.
