No, the pump needs to be beneath the water line.

What about all the floating food in the pond?
It will end up in the skimmer. Just feed as much as your fish eat.
My skimmer well take the food before the koi do 🤷🏻♂️

Do not feed koi close to the skimmer.
How deep is your pond from the top of water?
Average 3 feet (1 meter) Deepest area is 3.5 feet
The holes in the basket are too large, We have the seeds from Maple and they pass the basket. There are baskets with other hole sizes?
The skimmer basket came with standard holes. There is no option available.
Hey, does chamber and skimmer should have each pump?
No, there is a separate pressure filter connecting to the pump.
Skimmer works great but eats small fish
If your fish are that small, you shouldn't use the skimmer.
Agreed. Luckily, we haven't lost a small fish yet.
