Man am I ever glad to see you. I'm not in any way trying to pressure you to push yourself to do more in the shop but I have about 10 men I watch every week. You are one of them so I am glad to have this hole at least somewhat filled again. God Bless my friend.
Thanks Frank. It's good to be back. I was able to get out to the shop last week to film this show and although it is just a simple little project, it felt great to be in my shop again doing something productive. Thanks for all your support.
Yipee!! You're back! It's rare that I can get anyone to agree with me on ;much of anything but I feel that I can speak for everyone that it's just wonderful to see you back in your shop and sharing your ideas and knowledge with us. Take your time. Do what you feel like doing. It isn't a race and there are no deadlines. Take care of yourself.
Thanks Katie. I appreciate the kind words. I guess I never really realized how much folks enjoy the show until I wasn't able to do it anymore. Thanks for your patience. I appreciate your dedication to the program. Thanks for tuning in.
Great to see you back. Brought a smile to my face to see the notice pop up on UA-cam. Excellent choice. Perfect Christmas gift for nieces and nephews who will love em. Just make sure you don't give em out til after you get your prezzies or their parents will kick you out. Welcome back!
ha ha ha ha ha ha ha. Nothing like an annoying gift to give to other people's children. Check out my noise maker video on the show if you want a really annoying gift. Thanks for the kind words and for tuning in again this week.
Ken, sure glad to see you back online. You haven't lost your touch in coming up with interesting projects. A kazoo, who would have ever thought. Well my friend glad to see that your recovery is coming along good, rehab must be helping. Looking forward to your next video. Stay well. Paul / paulsmessyworkshop
Never seen anyone make a kazoo before, thanks I was wondering why I have not seen anything from you for a while! I did not know you were ill. Glad to see that your back. Thanks again Ken.
Thanks Robert. I'm glad to be back but I've still got a while to go on the recovery. Hoping to get some more shows out in the near future. Thanks for tuning in.
oh yeah the man is back in town. Glad you're back kenny, although i don't know the issues you're having,im glad a favorite of mine is back. I had a minor setback while you've been gone myself. my jointer got mad and took the end of my finger for lunch. want to remind everyone not to get complacent in the shop. thanks for the awesome lil build.
For me, it was a 90% blockage in the main artery to my heart. The blockage is cleared now and I am in cardiac rehab, but it is going well. Not good to hear about the jointer incident. I agree with your statement to not become complacent. 100% awareness at all time folks. Thanks for tuning in Chad.
You got me hooked on your shows with the Ukulele! What a talented woodworker you are. I am learning a lot! Thanks so much and I'm glad to hear you're feeling better.
Mark Lowe Thanks for the kind words. I'm glad that you are enjoying the shows. Not every show is a winner but I enjoy making them all and I feel that there is something to offer in every episode, no matter how small. Feel free to check out the show's Facebook page where I post other projects that don't make the show. Thanks for tuning in. Great to have you on board as a viewer.
Thanks for the kind word Mike. Try to find some time to get out to your shop. You need it. Thanks for tuning in and for taking the time to leave me a comment.
Thanks for the kind words. I'm glad that someone likes the sketchpad explanations. I'm never sure if I am boring people with the sketchpad or if I am clarifying things for people. Either way, glad to hear that you enjoyed that project. Thanks for tuning in.
Thank you very much. I'm just going to post what I can post for now. We will get back to a show a week soon but for now, I won't be pushing things. Thanks for taking the time to leave me a comment.
Perfect timing, my 4 year old Grandson was asking me for a Kazoo the other day. One of the TV shows he watches, has a song called "Can You Kazoo"? Glad to see your back, and feeling better. Wishing the best to you and yours. -Steven
Thanks Steven. There would be nothing better than a kazoo made by grandpa. Good luck on the build. If you have any questions, feel free to ask. Thanks for tuning in.
Thanks for the kind words. I truly appreciate it. The reason I don't have more subscribers is because I refuse to monetize the show and subject my viewers to advertisements. So because of that, I don't make a dime from the show and of course, I have to pay for the show out of my own pocket. That, in turn, makes it so that UA-cam doesn't promote my show like they do the ones that monetize. I'm glad that you found me and I hope that you will take the time to leave more comments on other programs of mine. Thanks for tuning in.
Thanks Walter. I appreciate the kind words. You can see how the grain really darkens when the finish is applied. Here is a link to the finished kazoo from my channel's Facebook page. facebook.com/pg/kennyearrings1/photos/?tab=album&album_id=1849012335317823
Hey Kenny, How we missed you. Good to see you in the first post medical break video. You seem to have the aspirator in evidence and that is a good example for us all. WELCOME BACK KENNY. Colin in Northern Ireland
Thanks Robert. I'm not 100% yet but I am definitely 100% better than what I was. I still have another 5 month of cardiac rehab to do but it's going well. Thanks for tuning in.
It's very flattering to see the comments on here. I don't think my show is any big deal but apparently, it's important to some people and that is the reason I film it. Thanks for the kind words and for tuning in this week.
Thanks Jim. Things are definitely on the up-swing for me. I've been feeling quite a bit better and my cardiac rehab is making me stronger by the day. Thanks for tuning in. I hope I am able to get back to my weekly posting schedule soon.
Thanks for the kind words Bob. The cardiac rehab is going well and I intend on light projects for a while until I'm back to full capacity. Thanks for tuning in.
Glad that you liked the video. That hammer is an older Stanley hammer that I have had for year. I think I got it at one of the big box stores. I'm not sure if they are even still available. Thanks for tuning in and for the kind words on the show.
Thank you very much Kim. I appreciate the kind words on the project and I hope you will try it for yourself. Thank you so much for tuning in to the show.
Left the resonator ring solid. There is a little play in it but the air will escape through the 3/8" hole drilled in the back side of the kazoo. Really was a fun project to make.
It's great to be back. Those are hollow punches. I got this set on sale (50% off) at Princess Auto. Keep watching for sales if you have one of these stores near you. If not, you can do a search on google to find a retailer near you. Here's the Princess Auto link. www.princessauto.com/en/detail/12-pc-hollow-punch-set/A-p8548059e
That is awesome!!! Gave me tge chills when you finally played it. It sounded much better than I was thinking it would. Still love how informative your videos are. Where do you get that wood? I believe you referred to it as flaming box elder.
Thanks for the kind words on the show. Flame box elder is available from many sources. I got this particular stock from Texas, US. Google "flame box elder" for a supplier in your area. You could also visit www.woodbarter.com and request if anyone there would have any for purchase. A great bunch of guys over at that site.
Nice one Ken a Kazoo eh, and give it a do do do ha ha love it. Great to see you back in the shop Ken, but please take it easy. What happened to the Sandpaper Lifting Record Attempt we talked about? TC, Barry (ENG)
I will try to remember to take a picture of it this afternoon and post a link to my Facebook page so you can seen the wood after the finish. It really is a spectacular species.
As promised, here is a link to my channel's Facebook page. I took a couple of pictures of the kazoo with a finish on it. Let me know if you have any problems viewing the pictures. Here's the link. facebook.com/pg/kennyearrings1/photos/?tab=album&album_id=1849012335317823
love all your shows tips and tricks, was wondering if you have some dimension for a flint mobile or cave car. will send you some pictures of the few projects of yours that I made will have to get the wife to take the pictures for me, alight I hear you guys snickering out there, she just happens to have a steadier hand than me.👍👍
I have never done the Flintstone's flint mobile Chet but I like the idea. It might be a fun one to design and add to a future episode of the show. Thanks for the idea. I look forward to seeing the pictures of your work. I hope your wife gets the pictures taken soon and you send them along. You can email me at kennye@acutabovewoodworkings.com. Thanks for tuning in and for the kind words on the show Chet. I truly appreciate it.
You are so goofy -- I love it! 🙃 Cool hammer. I've never seen one like that. Where'd you get the punches? Did you ever make a rack for your kazoo? Thanks.
Goofy is what I do best Barb. I bought the punches at a local Princess Auto store for fairly cheap and they work great although I did have to sharpen them to get them to cut half decently. I never did make a rack for this kazoo however, it does fit in my harmonica rack so that works too. Thanks for tuning in again and for taking the time to leave me a comment. It's appreciated.

Thanks Paul. It's always good to hear from you. Rehab is going well and hopefully, in no time, I will be better than new.
Great project and great to have you back.
Thanks for the kind words Lyle. It's good to be back.

Nice to see you back Kenny. Great fun project on your return, keep up the great work.
Thanks Brian. Glad to be back. I hope all is going well at your end of things.
Yeah going great, just put my first coat of tung oil on my workbench. Hopefully will get it finished in the next week or so.

Thanks buddy. It's good to be back. Great to hear from you.
Glad to see you back Kenny! I've been away from my shop too, but am finding time to get back out there. Thanks for the inspiration!
Thanks for the kind word Mike. Try to find some time to get out to your shop. You need it. Thanks for tuning in and for taking the time to leave me a comment.

Definitely a fun project to make. Be sure to try it yourself. If you have any questions, feel free to ask.
Glad to see you're doing better. Love the kazoo project and the sketchpad explanation!
Thanks for the kind words. I'm glad that someone likes the sketchpad explanations. I'm never sure if I am boring people with the sketchpad or if I am clarifying things for people. Either way, glad to hear that you enjoyed that project. Thanks for tuning in.
Welcome back. Glad your doing well.
Thanks Garry. It's good to be back. Being away from the shop gave me plenty of time to think of new show ideas.
It is very nice to have you back, I was thinking about you each week. Your health is the most important so don't overdo yourself. Wishing you well!
Thank you very much. I'm just going to post what I can post for now. We will get back to a show a week soon but for now, I won't be pushing things. Thanks for taking the time to leave me a comment.

Great project!! Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for the kind words on the show and for taking the time to leave me a comment. Thanks for tuning in.
Glad to see you back.
Thanks Adrian. It's good to be back. It's hard being away from the shop for that long.
You deserve many more subscribers
Thanks for the kind words. I truly appreciate it. The reason I don't have more subscribers is because I refuse to monetize the show and subject my viewers to advertisements. Glad to see you back. I always look forward to your videos. Take good care of yourself.
Thanks Ray. It's been way too long since I've been able to film and produce a show. It's good to be back on "the air" again. Thanks for tuning in
Glad to see you up and running again, hope you feel 100% soon.
I wouldn't call it "running" but I am definitely on the upswing of things. Thanks for tuning in to the show again this week.

All the best to you buddy! Hope recovery keeps on going well.
Thank you very much. Thanks for tuning in this week. 5 more months to go on the cardiac rehab but the first month went well.
Where did you get that lovely iron hammer to punch the holes on the cardboard.... awesome hammer, awesome video. Thanks
Glad that you liked the video. That hammer is an older Stanley hammer that I have had for year. I think I got it at one of the big box stores. I'm not sure if they are even still available. Thanks for tuning in and for the kind words on the show.
Well done!
Thank you very much Kim. I appreciate the kind words on the project and I hope you will try it for yourself. Thank you so much for tuning in to the show.
Cool idea! Did you punch any holes in the resonator plastic? Or did you leave it solid?
Left the resonator ring solid. There is a little play in it but the air will escape through the 3/8" hole drilled in the back side of the kazoo. Really was a fun project to make.
Hey Kenny, great to see you again!! What kind of punches are those used to punch out the cardboard for the resonator?

I broke that record!!!! I got up to 3 sheets before I tapped out. LOL. Thanks for tuning in Barry. As always, it's great to hear from you.

Fun. I would have liked to see what the wood looked like after finish was applied. Never saw that kind of wood before. Maybe next time. Thanks.

Stocking stuffers, perhaps shaped as Christmas trees 🎄, but that seems like a lot of sawing without a scroll saw.
