Its really considerate to not get the hump in the back for your dad, but man, I feel like anyone watching this who is on the fence about the hump in the back should just get it. The up front portion I can take or leave... but the back FOR ME is like essential. Great Video and good color choices. Also funny the only part that gave your any issue on the removal was the stuff you threw on! I used to use surf board wax there. Super cheap and easy to clean off too!
Never tried the hump in back! Bet it does help a bunch cutting in corners. Lol yah those custom pads were never gonna come unglued on there own🤣. Never thought about the surf wax before thts a cool idea!
@@Floatsorrolls1 yeah they make pushing that back foot down so much easier. I feel they're a must man! But I get i; gotta keep family in mind. Yeah surf wax is the ultimate "I just bought a 650s for 1500 bucks" move for extra grip.
It looks really sharp! It's nice to know it comes with padding, I've been debating getting the Jettrim for my SJ You can order a roll of just the padding for like $20 from Jettrim, something to consider if you wanted to redo the bottom mat so the padding wraps all the way around the bumper. I appreciate your thorough install videos!
Thanks! Havent gotta try it out yet but looks sweet will definitely report how we like the split lifters and bumps on the bottom mat. Thanks for continuing to check them out 🤘🏼😎
Nice install video and great tips and great look! Love that you chose the red and black colors of the floats or rolls channel! Great branding choice. Looking forward to hearing how the new mat compares to the stock one.
Looks great. I also have a new SJ and every time I ride, I wonder why Yamaha didn't put padding up on the elbow area. Seems like they knew people would just JetTrim their skis. This is on my upgrade list, for sure.
Any chance youll do a winterization video? Its about that time (unless i get a wetsuit lol) Great vid as always i think im going to jettrim my ski over winter!! Keep it up!
Appreciate it! I will be doing a winterizing video but wont be for a while. As the wetsuit season has just begun! Tested mat out tonight was awesome! 😎perfect winter mod. The mat is definitely worth it but do plan on it taking longer than you expect to install!
If you had to pick one ski for fun and all around witch one would it be I’m struggling to pick one. We play around and set up bouys for fun as well thanks for your advice
For best all around ski from reliability, playfullness and carving the new tr-1 superjet is best. They all do one thing better than the other. SXR most fun for bouys, will rip your arms off fast and is reliable but seriously lacks in playfulness for doing tricks and unless you are +250lbs you wont be able to do water wheelies. Also the sxr doesnt jump wakes well comparatively. The old 701 superjet is the most fun, most playful, can carve and jumps best but seriously lacks reliability when you get it juiced up(b-pipe,head,etc.) to be as fun as the other two skis power wise. New TR-1 superjet does tricks, can wheelie, feels lighter like the old skis. It also jumps wakes great almost as good as the old skis. (Which is awesome). Also im big into how the ski sounds and with the riva exhaust the tr-1 superjet sounds wicked. All are great skis but have to say its been a awesome year with the TR-1 and has been cooler than I expected. Learner mode is useless but good for breaking engine in. Thats about it! Thanks for watching and hope this helps you out!
as a first time ski owner i am SUPER happy with TR-1...i got spooked by the reliability / wrenching required for the older used skis on marketplace... besides oil and keeping it clean I simply gas and go and then wrench on add-ons which is the fun part haha
We made them from spare mat we had. Here is the video on how we made them! Its a great cheap permanent alternative. Thanks for watching!😎🤘🏼 ua-cam.com/video/gHIewPpE4FY/v-deo.htmlsi=8SWVe-_39_5CWmMd
@flatcorrols, this is the exact mat I want to order, what is the material for the black? 5 different side materials and I am having a hard time choosing. Is this Black smooth? Black medium slip?

I'm getting this exact mat. I was thinking about going with the ribbed bottom like yours. How do you like it? Does it bother you? Can you feel it on your feet? Or was a flat bottom a better option? I wear riding shoes so my e it wouldn't make a difference in feel for me but I was curious. I didn't want something that would bother the bottom of my feet while riding. Thank you!
I love the mat! The side lifters are a must for jumping in my opinion as it helps lock your feet in tray. I think the bumps on bottom help press the feet into the corners but to be completely honest I haven’t really noticed a difference really riding wise in terms of different feel but my shoes have slightly thicker soles. I haven’t slipped and definitely dont bother me. Id go with the same bottoms again 😎sorry not much insight but didnt really notice a difference in bottoms honestly. Thanks for watching 😎🤘🏼
@@Floatsorrolls1 thank you for the reply. Alright cool that helps me with my decision. I'm definitely going with lifters for sure. The split one like yours. Sweet channel by the way 🤙🏼🤙🏼🤙🏼🤙🏼
Really appreciate it man! I love jetrim mats. Ive had the same jettrim mat on my 2014 superjet for almost 10years and still holding up great and grippy
@@hashyolomaster6469 they are called split lifters. They help hold your feet in place and from slip upward. I like them for doing jumps as with the stock mat your feet will have a tendency to slip upward making it unsafe when landing jumps but they help with subs too. Basically just extra traction securing your feet in the tray.
