I made the picot space equal to 6 ds ( 3 times 2 ds).
I want to know why we make picot equal to 3 times 2ds and not just 3 times 1ds as i guess the join roughly occupies 1 ds space🤔
Kindly explain what do u mean when u say heigt of picot is 5mm....does that mean u make 10 mm picot using vertical picot gauge.

If there is only one joining , the space for 1DS is enough, but the ring has a roundness. With just 3x the size of the 1DS, there isn't enough space and the rings will overlap each other, so I decided that 3x the size of the 2DS was necessary.
If the picot height is 5mm, use a 5mm picot gauge. Creating 1DS at a distant position without using a gauge and bringing it closer requires a distance of 10mm or more.
