- Here I pick open an Abus 76IB/40 "Lock Out Tag Out" (LOTO) padlock that has 8 pins instead of the standard 4,5 or 6 pins.
After I saw Sadistic Picker picking one, I had to buy one! @SadisticPicker

These locks are very nice. 8 pins of fun 👍 Well picked 👏👏 Thank you very much for sharing how to get this open and what is inside 👍👍 You have to check out J. Gabriels, he produced some nice challenge locks with these 76/40s ! He does amazing pins and modifications!

When I receive my 8 pin loto challenge lock from J Gabriel I will be sending it around the Aussies to play with and I will also send it to you. It is full of rattlesnake pins and magnets! Will be a lot of fun to play with

@@Swynndla Doesn't it just! Just the photos of what J has put inside has me intimated AF. never picked a lock with a magnet in it before let alone rattle pins and eight chambers of creativeness. I'm going to give it a go and I challenge you my kiwi brother to take up the challenge. It will be coming your way!
Fantastic 8 pin lock , I never knew Abus had a 8 pin lock , I'm going to have to get one for my collection lol , As you said , this would be a great lock to turn into an interesting CL , well picked open my friend
Thank you for your support my friend. Yea it should potentially make an awesome CL. It wasn't too bad to learn to pick as I'm comfortable with spools. Oh and another thing I forgot to mention, if I put in a mix of security pins, I can progressive pin it to learn how to pick it! 😜😜 Have a great week mate.
J. Gabriel has made a few of these into challenge locks with his rattle snake pins in them and magnets. I have one coming my way soon. A very interesting challenge lock indeed

Hehe popsicle sticks, glue & sand paper ... it's not pretty but it works well enough for me! I put a little bit of olive oil on the wood afterwards just so my sweaty hands wouldn't water-log the handles lol. Cheers mate!

you made that look so easy! I have a "normal" 6 pin 74/40 and am yet to crack it.
Oh I find the 74/40 a *much* harder pick! The 76/40 has 8 easy'ish pins (or easier, I find). Cheers!
