Okay, three things about that Audi R8.
#1, that is the V8 Audi that for some reason sounds like the V10 version.
#2, the Audi R8 is a 4WD 2010 supercar competing against a RWD muscle car, so the Audi should've had a much faster start than the Cuda.
#3, theres no way a regular Audi R8 just breaks like that in the middle of that race.
3 little things called Horsepower,Torque and Gearing ive seen plenty of AWD audi's get beat badly by a built street and strip muscle and tuners

I really loved how Furious 7 took the franchise took it back to it's Street Racing roots. Here's a better written scene for this movie. Mia and Brian are already at Race Wars racing when Letty and Dom arrive. After Letty wins the race, Hector shows up along with Leon and JESSIE, whom we all thought died in the first movie. The original crew reuniting and kicking it at Race Wars. Then Leon and Jessie join Dom and the others on their mission to capture Deckard Shaw and avenge Han's death.
I WOULD LOVE THAT!
Leon didn't die in the first film, he fled L.A. with Letty after Dom told them Brian is cop, Jessie on the other hand is very much dead after being shot multiple times by Johnny Tran and his Cousin Lance, so we could see Leon return in Fast 10 or 11 (yes they did confirm an 11th film will be made), we could even see characters from the later movies make an appearance like Suki, O.J., Slapjack, perhaps even Sean and Twinkie from Tokyo Drift.
@@danielowens9003 Sean made a cameo in Furious 7, the crew decided not to call on him for help in Fast and Furious 8. Sean will be joining the Street Racing family in Furious 9, and will want revenge on Deckard Shaw and Cipher. Jessie should've returned alive as the villain, wanting revenge on Dom and Letty for abandoning him at the end of the first movie. Leon should make a surprise cameo in the movie. Hope that Race Wars returns in the 9th film as well. Lance, Suki, Takashi and Dwight should return for a Street Race in Furious 9.
@@vekomaboomerang4094 I know he made a cameo in F7 as did Twinkie but I was referring to them coming back as part of Dom's crew, say Mr Nobody says to Dom that a mission I need you to do requires more than your team so Dom goes to Tokyo and recruits Sean, offering a pardon for his actions in America that got him sent to Japan to live with his dad and Sean accepts but also wants Twinkie to be part of the crew and Dom agrees to let Twinkie join saying the more hands the better.

It's a 1970 Cuda with parts from both '72' and '73' cuda's, aside from some visual differences the '70'='74' cudas were the same.

The 1970 model has single headlight on each side , while the ‘71 has double headlights and gills and a new grill for ‘71 different from 70 and the rest. ‘ 72- ‘74 got the single headlights, a new grill style and round lights on the rear compared to the square taillights on the 70-‘71. But the rest of the body are the same for 70- 74. I should know, I have a’73 Cuda in F3 green, with a 440 put in when it was ordered account of them not putting big motors in cars after 1972

Although it has bigger race wars in this movie, but i prefer the first movie because it has more JDM tuners ( Honda, Toyota, Nissan, Mitsubishi, Mazda, etc. ) which is pretty fit with the event with neons, and vinyls instead of modified european exotics (BMW, Audi, Porsche, Mercedes, etc.)

I went up against numerous R8s on road courses and drag strips in all configurations and a heads/cam 346 CID Z06 never saw the tail lights of any of them. If you don't think an old school muscle car wouldn't stop light destroy one of these, you are sorely mistaken.

That 'cuda was NOT an AAR Cuda! That body was a 72-74 and the AAR was a special manufactured 'cuda made in 1970. I owned a 'cuda that I bought new, and know those cars forwards and backwards, in and out. I hate "clones."
