Seeing this makes all the delays make sense. While developing combat, visuals, and game functionality/mechanics they want to make sure everything is well fleshed out and properly functional. So far everything I have seen about this game seems perfect. All I need to see now is how they'll handle post-game and post-launch content. Will we actually have an endgame gameplay loop like the mobile game? Resource farming and daily/weekly rotating missions? Special events? Post-launch characters releases? Maybe that's too ambitious but it would be really cool.
So far you’ve consistently put awesome, high quality, informative and analytical videos for relink and we don’t even have a release date yet. I can’t wait to see what content you create when the game is out. Take my sub!
This is such a fantastic breakdown! Please make more when new information, including characters and gameplay, is released! And of course, when this game ships, I'd love to see a full breakdown as well. Thanks for explaining all of this so well!
fun fact, Narmaya is one of the community favorite, so much so she was on the first official dakimakura (body pillow), the funnier part? she wasn't even playable, she appeared as an NPC in an event. Her original version (she has 6 right now) verted on switching between stances, givine her basically 6 skill instead of the normal 3 She is considered in-universe as the second strongest katana master (her great-great-uncle hold the first place)
That's something I really do like how all the playable characters look like that they play radically different from each other. They took the height abilities strength and skills of each character and made them feel as if they're different playable characters not just carbon copies. And with each one feeling different, it adds a lot more of a different sort of play for people who want to play a character. That's not even including some of the other characters which makes me all the more excited and interested in this game when it comes out. Great deep dive into them or at least the ones that you've shown in this video!

All that variation is rather astounding. I like Charlotte and Siegfried the most, reminds me of the Just Attacks and Greatswords in PSO2, which is exactly my style.
Siegfried does have a visual indicator for when the right moment for his attack has come... You can see some star shining right during the first attack and you can see it again as you land more precise commands for attack to get the boost.

Yoharda's gameplay loop seems to be spamming his finisher with requires you to achieve a certain hit count with normal attacks to activate and the stacks he builds up reduce this count, so you kinda start from 10hits into finisher to 3hits into finisher.
This game is the extreme opposite of FFXVI in terms of (playable) character variety. Still i'm very excited for both games although i think i may enjoy Relink a bit more due to how many choices it gives the player in combat.
Definitely really looking forward to both too, honestly I hope this gets released late summer or after so I don't have to choose. Although I think ffxvi will still have plenty of combat variety (maybe even more) just condensed into one character with an assload of options. This feels more like a multiple simpler character locked kits kind of thing, probably mostly only going to really be able to customize gear. Makes sense since it will probably lean into coop a lot more too.
Technically Clive is basically a one man party. Each Eikon ability completely changes the way he's played, essentially making it a similar experience to gaining a new party member. Personally, I think it would have been more apealing for Final Fantasy XVI to still carry over the concept of having a party, but with each character having a more unique style like here in Relink (or maybe changing between 2 styles, since I understand that's already a shiton of work); but maybe the developers didn't want the game to look too similar to Bravely Default, with the changing styles (jobs in the case of BD) concept.
Male mage where???
wonder how long would it take for China to copy this game and milk players making it a gacha for characters, weapons and skins.

well best of luck to those who are actually waiting for this game, if it ever comes out lol.
It's beyond the bloody joke now...
I feel like a new delay and apology is right around the corner...
We should at least have a date by now if it were actually coming this year.
Cygames seem to be content to keep kicking the can down the road...
