I find it really funny you can hear all the movement of Montana because of his leather jacket lol.
Yeah, that genius:-) - that leather movement. Like that, too
lol this is terrible. i wish there were so much more
You show 'em, Chet
You show ALL of them.
It was filmed in the Ennis House a famous Frank Loyd Wright building in Los Angeles which has been used in a lot of movies. Most recognisable as Deckards apartment in Blade Runner but also notably a murder mystery staring Vincent Price called The House on Haunted Hill. Interestingly Vincent Price was also in a 1944 Gene Tierney movie called Laura which was about a detective investigating the death of a beautiful popular young woman who turns out to have a sinister secret.
I knew I recognized the tiling!
Thank you!
Jade gave two rides.
right! but do you see any deeper connection? I dont
I wish this was in the Return! Such a brilliant parody of soap operas. Hopefully we'll see it in the future.
That would be hilarious, if concurrently in the Twin Peaks universe Invitation to Love had been rebooted.
@@theohaegele9011 There should have been a soap opera that the "Invitation To Love" characters were watching.
my favorite part is the announcer saying "stay tuned for more.... invitation to love"
Interesting that it has some parallels with the actual show, with the "actress" who plays two characters, doubles (the "good" sister and the "bad" sister), relatives who look alike, etc.
Gabrielle Leo Johnson caught the moment Montana was shot just moments after Hank Jennings shot him.
Its all connected, because its a different reality or dream...
@@prlysis And Leland watches Jared Lancaster write his farewell letter, where he tells his daughters that he can't go on anymore, then Jade arrives and saves Jared the same moment when Maddy arrives. Jared looks to the door, when Maddy calls her uncle Leland.
The will and the packard books
Horrendously and amazingly fantastically awfully brilliant!
"My darling daughter Jade...and Emerald..."
Lmao, the shade.
This is spectacular! Especially all the cigarette smoke. Emerald is everything!
Thank you, the quintessential show withina show
Wonderful 80s hair on Jade/Emerald.
WOW, Bob, WOW
"My darling daughter Jade *extended pause* and Emerald" savage
The most glorious trainwreckin', rubber-necking daytime dramedy ever!
I love Twin Peaks !
Damn you, Montana!
This is pretty awesome for a hardcore Peaks fan!
Missed this a lot in season 2.
I'd buy that for a dollar.
I'd buy this for a buck and a cent.
Robocop?? 😂 😂
That was beautiful! It would also be beautiful to watch the footage of Laura and Donna on their picnic with James.
It's on the blu ray.
@@gyobfan22 Cool. Thank you!
Chet protests but Emerald claims, “Well, you always said you could never tell us apart…”
"To my daughter Jade. Aaand Emerald."
If you're saying I play favorites, you're wrong. I love both my daughters equally.
I don't care for Emerald.
Poor Chet!
It looks like the same place where they shot "Blade Runner" in Decker's apartment.
It is.
It is.
Love those Ennis House wall tile mouldings.
top notch acting
Why couldn't Frost and Lynch just make this?
David didn't like it. It's one of the only things I've ever disagreed with him on!
Anyone noticed that Chet resembles Charlie, from Audrey's comatose dreams (or Bardo experiences)?
I found myself trying to figure out if it was the same actor. Have been unable to verify.
turns out its not. Lance Davis played Chet. Clarke Middleton plays Charlie. But damn you're right, they mirror each other.
Chet, why so glum? Life goes on!
Montana is my spirit animal
Absolutely glorious. Thank you!
Damn that wily Montana!!!
I love love this!!!
As I was rewatching Twin Peaks, with these parody parallel seris, it seemed familiar. It's what they did in Max Payne games, probably now I can guess the story writer might have been inspired by Twin Peaks, it first happened here before it happened in MP.
This is solid gold shit.
Chet the original simp
fyi some of the missing audio from around 12:30 can be found in s1e6
this is fantastic!!
For god's sake Emerald
This is fantastic. Thanks so much for posting it!
The sound in some of the clips are missing! What a shame...
"Because she's a kind and loving person... not like-"
">:O"
Emerald has crazy demon eyes.
so good
You can so see how Twin Peaks influenced Max Payne.
Now, for the exciting final episode of Dick Justice.
remedy loves films and tv within games, it's all over alan wake too
So did Home Alone steal the idea for Angels with Filthy Souls (the tape that Kevin uses to scare away Harry and Marv) from this? Twin Peaks's first season and Home Alone came out within such a close time frame that it actually seems possible lol.
I was really disappointed when I found out Angels With Filthy Souls wasn't an actual movie.
Chet's Rock!
I'm glad this show wasn't resurrected in the new limited series. Those big hairdos probably used so much hair spray they caused the hole in the O-zone.
Phil Adams I would've loved to see that Invitiation to Love got a showtime revival in the Twin Peaks universe lol
I'm afraid the hairspray alone would have reopened the "hole in the ozone" and then all the Woodsmen from space would enter our world thru it and that would be that.
Glorious. I just wish Montana was named after another U.S state, as I always associate Montana with Montana Moorehead from 'Soapdish'
damn, where's the sound for the last few minutes lol
3:58 LOL
Hopefully they'll put this on a future Blu ray release in higher quality
Jade give two rides
Yessssss
If Jared has "nothing" how can he leave "everything" to Jade, and what does it matter to Emerald? 😆
Best part is Montana slapping Chet twice and then laughing.
This makes me think of Address Unknown.
this is so creepy
this is ...let me understand. the citizen of twin peaks in the movie watching another movie ?
This is a soap opera that is watched by characters of Twin Peaks.
Yes, I read it like that - and WE watch Twin Peaks.
This is a dream inside a dream...
What people never picked up on were some the clues in "Invitation To Love" pertaining to the Laura Palmer mystery.
Charlie in The Return has got a lot of the same "physique" as Chet, except nothing rattles Charlie haha
Jade Jade Jade!
Chet & Emerald; Still a better love story than Twilight
Hello beautiful 😂😂😂😂
Chet Desmond?

So this is where "Invitation to Her's" came from, interesting
Fun fact: Donald Trump made several cameo appearances in Season 13.
"Morning Lucy, what's going on?"
"Uh, thanks to Jade Jered decided not to kill himself and he's changed his will leaving the towers to Jade instead of Emerald but Emerald found out about it and now she's trying to seduce Chet to give her the new will so she can destroy it and Montana's trying to kill Jered at midnight so that the towers will belong to Emerald and Montana but I think he's going to double-cross him and he doesn't know it yet. Poor Chet."
"What's going on *here*?"
Am I watching SCTV's "The Days of the Week"?
so if its how's jade, it's annie give two rydes
What are they saying in the silent bits?!?
Some of it was in the original series, like when Montana hits Chet, he says "Listen here you little fruit loop, you're done, done !" *smack hit* "Don't ever cross me ! Ha ha ha !" and then at the end, before shooting Montana, Chet says: "I wasn't fooling, Montana !" *bang* (with Nadine watching in Twin Peaks saying: "you show em Chet, you show all of them")
TERRIFIC
Jesus. I got through 3.5 minutes. It felt like 10.
Erika what the hell are you wearing oh my God.
this is kinda scary
😂
Why did someone post a bunch of clips from HBOs Succession?
omg its sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo bad lol
What DOOOO.... you mean?
but what was the point of this tv show with the Twin Peaks show? What was it there for?
It was a tv soap opera, that some of the residents of Twin Peaks watched. So, in Twin Peaks, there are scenes of people watching it.
Lisa Heisey not my question Lisa. Thanks for nothing
@@Ferraridude13 Maybe you should have written a more specific question then, instead of just replying so rudely. You sounded like someone, who had never seen Twin Peaks, and didn't know what Invitation To Life had to do with the show. Smfh
It was one of the more “meta” aspects of the first season in particular - kind of a jokey (maybe in-jokey) commentary on the more self-consciously soap opera-esque elements of the main story. So when an actress already established as one character shows up playing another character, we would have the announcer for “Invitation to Love” announcing the actress who plays two roles in ItL. When a character got shot in the main storyline, he wound up watching Montana get shot on ItL as he collapsed. That kind of thing. To the extent that Twin Peaks was functioning as a soap opera send-up, this was a send-up of the send-up.
Essentially, it answers the question: if Twin Peaks is part soap opera, then what do people in soap operas watch for their soap operas? Something EVEN MORE ridiculous and contrived.
