I'm learning this piece at the moment, it's not easy but I think I'll get through in time for Christmas. I'll update you guys when I hit a milestone Update 1: Finished learning the first page. It was pretty tough, took me roughly 1 and a half hours to be fluent. My fingers felt like dying after that practice session Update 2: Progress got delayed but I finished page 2 and half of page 3. Took me roughly an hour, which was surprisingly less time than the first page. One thing I definitely found hard was the appregios, but I think I mastered them. Update 3: Had a huge progress delay because of school but I'm back B) Finished learning page 3 and 4. Hopefully I'll get page 5 done by the end of the week. Also thanks to the people that are cheering me on :) Update 4: I finally completed page 5 and also page 6, I'm gonna do page 7 next week Update 5 (10.27.2020) Finished page 7, only have one page left! This isn't a full update but I'm almost done the last page (8) Update 6: I'm done!! a whole month early too :) Expect a video next week, as I'm busy with schoolwork this week Edit: Unfortunately due to personal issues that I do not wish to share, the video is going to be postponed for a little bit. It will be up sooner or later though Update 7: After a long wait, my attempt at playing this thing is finally uploaded, aha. To everyone out there. Learn the song. I finished it after 7 months of learning for at least 1 hour everyday. And I play the piano now only since 2018. So you can do it too if you work very hard.
Would not recommend. You probably won't be satisfied with the result if you begin learning this piece with poor technique. You'll eventually realize all the short comings and flaws in your playing, especially with lack of dynamics, poor rhythm and unclear sound. But hey, don't let me discourage you.

@@FellowFromAFen I've been playing piano for around a month and I'm already trying pieces like Clare de Lune. Can I do it? Hell no... I can play around the first minute then when the sweeping arpeggio's start I can't even think fast enough. But... Trying at a slower speed helps you train muscle memory as well as strengthen your fingers etc. It all adds to helping you learn. I'm not saying to not learn other pieces that are designed to be easier as well, but don't let it stop you at least making a start.
@@Grigeral hey, I have been playing for quite a while, I would not suggest to focus on learning this piece just yet because it would be very frustrating, I suggest learning some easier pieces that will improve your technique and make you feel like a master, then in a a little bit start learning this. Anyone is capable with enough time and effort, it’s just so much easier and better when you have acquired some good technique
@@marcocarrettin5044 cheers for the information. Don't get me wrong, I don't mean learn the thing in full :). For example, I learned the first part of Clair de Lune simply because I wanted to and figured it would help learning chord placements etc. I'm currently working on a mix of things. I'm learning to read music with some simple versions of things like Brahm's Lullaby and then to do other pieces for pure enjoyment, I'm learning Never Meant to Belong from Bleach. Takes me a while though to learn, roughly an hour to get get every 10-20 seconds or so, then just keep practicing until I get a bit better. It's a long road, but I did it with guitar so it's not a total shock!

Would not recommend. You probably won't be satisfied with the result if you begin learning this piece with poor technique. You'll eventually realize all the short comings and flaws in your playing, especially with lack of dynamics, poor rhythm and unclear sound. But hey, don't let me discourage you.

Fair, but I think it is also fair to prescribe a long time training piano skills before attempting this song.
@@FellowFromAFen I've been playing piano for around a month and I'm already trying pieces like Clare de Lune. Can I do it? Hell no... I can play around the first minute then when the sweeping arpeggio's start I can't even think fast enough.
But... Trying at a slower speed helps you train muscle memory as well as strengthen your fingers etc. It all adds to helping you learn. I'm not saying to not learn other pieces that are designed to be easier as well, but don't let it stop you at least making a start.
@@Grigeral hey, I have been playing for quite a while, I would not suggest to focus on learning this piece just yet because it would be very frustrating, I suggest learning some easier pieces that will improve your technique and make you feel like a master, then in a a little bit start learning this. Anyone is capable with enough time and effort, it’s just so much easier and better when you have acquired some good technique

For example, I learned the first part of Clair de Lune simply because I wanted to and figured it would help learning chord placements etc.
I'm currently working on a mix of things. I'm learning to read music with some simple versions of things like Brahm's Lullaby and then to do other pieces for pure enjoyment, I'm learning Never Meant to Belong from Bleach. Takes me a while though to learn, roughly an hour to get get every 10-20 seconds or so, then just keep practicing until I get a bit better.
It's a long road, but I did it with guitar so it's not a total shock!
