I went to the bow rack today to shoot the Mathew’s phase 4 and the HOYT VTM, I had basically made my mind up on the mathews before I got there. I shot the VTM… game over. It’s an extremely nice bow. Dead in my hand after the shot and super quiet. Just felt a type of way. Now I’m on team hoyt.
I went to shoot the Phase 4 and VTM especially interested in the 34 and after 2-3 shots with the Phase 4 I already knew it was out. I was surprised given everything I keep reading that I preferred the 31. All 4 were great bows but that VTM 31 just did it for me
@@edgrabowski6797put your extra money that you’ll save into accessories by buying the vtm. They’re damn near the same bow except one is carbon. At that point it’ll just be up to you on what you want if you want to say you have a carbon bow or not

Test drove one the other day, have 2022 Ventum Pro 33 and it truly does have reduced vibration, hand shock and seems quite. My 2022 Ventum Pro 33 is replacement for Bow Tech Generation 3 from 2001 0r 2000, NOW THATS A DIFFERENCE!!! and was in my opinion worth the purchase. Although I don't think its changes warrant another $1000 plumbing spent. In a deep intimate relationship with my 33 Ventum Pro, would not want to hurt her feelings!!! THANKS LOADS FOR REVIEWS, YOU ARE DA BOMB!!!
It seems like bow companies are starting to improve there advertised product numbers all due to your reviews. You're the man! Thank you for all that you do! 🤘
Great review , I have shot the Prime Shift since 2012 and going to be buying a new one and i m leaning towards the VX3 33 or this VTM 31 . I seen the review on phase 4 and i m sure its quiet but not confident in those rubber strips holding up to weather . I already crossed RX 7 out because i dont think its that worth several hundred dollars for the carbon difference to me . I also been looking at PSE EVO but i think its going to boil down to hoyt or mathews for me . Thanks for the video .
Wish we would have seen a bigger change out of the Hoyts this year, but I won't make my own option till I get down and shoot one myself! As always great review and loving the new bow review backdrop!
Don’t worry even Mathew haven’t done anything better than last year!😮ops sorry Mathew did actually A stabiliser for 250$ .All those companies like hoyt mathews bowtec etc they can’t get over this simple principle a bow always will be a bow ! They my change a little bit riser or cam but still gonna be a bow is a better than last year bow ? Oh is a new iPhone yes 14 .you decide.
Nice video! Getting this bow for my son, he didnt care what name it is, he just wanted 80 lbs to blow through elk, moose, caribou, bear and boars but harder hitting at super long distance shootin 3D
That's a sweet looking now for sure, dig the reviews mfjj, i think you do a great job on ur reviews and find them helpful with seeing wats new out there, dig your man cav it is bad ass!
My first bow was a PSE elite, 35lb let off, 65lb draw, no peep, shooting with my fingers left hand. I quit archery for 20 years and got back into it bought an nxt brute entry level bow, had it for a year and one of the cams blew up while shooting. PSE wouldn’t send me the new cam because I wasn’t a dealer, after trying to fix the problem with no good results I decided to go with Mathews, 2 days before opening archery season in PA, I sighted the Mathews v3 x, day before open season
Mathews: for 2023 we came up with patented rubber dampener technology in between split limbs to give you the quietest most vibration free shooting experience Hoyt: for 2023 we came up with monkeytails
Mathews’ rubber dampning between limbs doesn’t look like it would hold-up to rough treatment and cold weather over time. As we know, rubber compounds fade and breakdown. Then what?
Hey MFJJ, I am hoping you can answer a question for me or someone else here. I have a VTM 31 and I have been having tuning issues with it so I got it shimmed with the black shims. I’ve been to 3 different archery shops and finally after having it shimmed, I’m shooting bullet holes through paper. With that said, even with the shims, my arrow sits to the left of my stabilizer and if you look from the top down, you can see the arrow points pretty far left. I wish I could include photos. Is this normal for hoyts? Also because of how it points left, my Black Gold sight has to be pretty far to the left to get my windage right.
Man cave is cool. I was really hoping that Hoyt would move away from the e-clip system they currently use on there axles. I had on one pop off my rx -7 while hunting this year. lucky for me, my hunting buddy was looking at the bow after the hunt and noticed it.
Yeah the e clip kinda sucks. I had mine pop off and beam me in the forehead 😂 didn’t realize that’s what ended up coming off. Kept shooting it and shot a nice buck a couple weeks after with it off! Finally realized what was wrong like a week ago!
Do you have to shoot picatinny sights and intergrated rest or can you still shoot regular side mounts on this new hoyt? I m buying a new boy this yr and have really looked at bows since 2012 .
I want something that feels right, allowing me to shoot to my full potential, I don’t want to have to keep tweaking a bow that will never allow me to do that
Ive been shooting hoyt maxxis 31 since 2013 or so. Light ( 3.9#), quiet , 7” brace height ….. my question is …. Almost 10 years later, …. What do i get ? Heavier bow ? Less forgiving? Possibly a bit quieter but not a huge leap . A bit faster . Can you convince me to buy one ? Really wish it had 7” brace height and a pound lighter
Hoyt: We couldn't get enough of your orders out to you last year because of the high demands so no new bows for 2023. Also Hoyt: Here's the new VTM 31.
It seems like the speed ratings are mostly inflated, how do they come up with these numbers if they are so far off? The most important thing is will we get a different hat this year?
40lbs.. that would be perfect for my 11 year old. A bow he could keep a long time. At $1100 a pop he would have to keep it awhile. Mommy and daddy need new bows.

How does this bow compare to the hoyt rx7.

No 250 dollar picatinny stabilizers I’m disappointed
Are you implying that Mathews is screwing their fanboys with overpriced gimmicks? LMAO!!!
😂😂😂
That’s alright hoyt is screwing their people with changing nothing on their bows.
@@codysmith5403 ?? They changed the price.
You dont have to use their system. I agree the pricing is ridiculous.
Like always a good looking bow with a new good looking color too!
Thanks for the quick review! Still loving the man cave location, nice seeing the family in the background!

Great looking bow!! Always loved how hoyts look.
Great review. I need to get down to my local shop and test out some of these new bows. It’s been quite a while since I’ve shot a Hoyt!
Awesome bow 🎉
Very impressive bow. Love the looks of it.

Hoyt Has a winner this year. All of the accessories are a lot cheaper than Matthews. The Picatinny rail system is great.
Fantastic man cave! A new bar is set...Thanks for the review
Again with the best bow reviews! No fluff!! Thank you!
Starting to notice a pattern here lol
Always enjoy your reviews. Watched your Matthews review yesterday.
Same pattern! -10 fps
Awesome Bow and great speed and closet I’ve seen in a while to specs. Love the reviews thanks MFJJ.
Need to get up there and try it. Thanks for your reviews!
I will say the new Hoyt VTM 31 is plenty fast… the blackout or bone collector blackout gotta be a pretty decent looking bow
It seems like bow companies are starting to improve there advertised product numbers all due to your reviews. You're the man! Thank you for all that you do! 🤘
A good honest review from a Mathews guy! Thx!
I love the fast videos and love all the animals in back ground makes it feel like a cabin feel
Nice shop thanks for all the testing and reviews
Sweet bow
I'm liking this bow and the carbon one from bowtech this year
Thank You for the video Brother as always dialed in! I hope You feel better.
Awesome review as always. It is very nice to have an unbiased review on all the bows you preview!

This bow looks awesome. Thanks for the reviews
Great review! Thanks!
MFJJ
What’s more dead this bow or the Elite Omnia.
Thanks for all you do in the archery world and bringing these videos to us.
This one is one that might actually make me switch brands.

Seems like it was faster than last year's model and every bow this year does seem closer to the actual the rating soeeds
The nearest bow shop to Hoyt, KS carries Mathews...
No frill review nice work

just shot them today. didn't notice much difference in sound but the Hoyt definitely had a smoother draw and vibration felt the same as the Mathews
Always keeping them honest! I love it
Best bow reviews on UA-cam forsure
Interesting that the speed goes up with higher let off, maybe due to a tiny bit more draw length?
Nice honest reviews 👌
Good old Faktor 30.
Great video!
First here! Love my Hoyts!
That’s probably the closest to published specs the speed has ever been. Seems like a nice tree stand bow
MFJJ you need some more LED string lights man
I just glad it doesn't look like a crane.
Love the man cave MFJJ!
Awesome review
Point is a great brand! Good review. My question is you ever going to do a video with you shooting those trad bows there on your wall behind you?
The shortest Hoyt flagship bow and it’s still to big for Dan 😂
I can't wait to try all the new hoyt bows. It's a tough choice with the new ones and I don't think you can go wrong with any of them.
You ever check out bear archery line up? I switched from bowtech lol allegiance to bear divergent
Nice bow!
I think that's going to be a good seller this year if they don't price it out to much so far this year I'm leaning towards that and a mathews
Keep the videos coming
Looks like an awesome bow!
I would have liked to see a longer ata this year, and a few more up grades.

Hey Justin beber grow the hair back...lol.
Just busting your chops, love the content
Is there a difference between the Torrey XT and the new VTM for cams? I am currently shooting the Torres XT and am not sure about upgrading yet.
In two years we'll have just the Hoyt "V"
You’re gonna have a faster speed the higher let off increases draw length
It is nice to see that Hoyt isn’t trying to overprice their name just because they can!!
Would love to own a man cave like that though !!!
Do you have any plans to to a head to head comparison with the VTM 31 and the Phase 4?
Hard to see how they could make these bows any better. I am looking forward the the Origin raptor camo print though
I’m not a 100% sold
On the V3x but it does feel okay, I shot the crap out of my PSE nxt brute left hand, prolly 600 arrows a week, until it blew up
Awesome review as always. Loving the 2023 line so far from a couple of manufacturers. Decisions decisions.
Let me get the hoyt !

Seems like a decent bow but I would still like to have a Hoyt Helix or Axius Alpha in storm grey with an HHA rest sight and stabilizer’s
Have a storm gray Helix I’d sell you.

can you do a video on the garmin sight? im curious if its worth it
They made it longer but still lighter? That’s pretty cool. Did they change anything on the rx7?
