Can't have a modern global civilization without a FIAT based reserve currency and a FIAT based reserve currency requires one nation to hold a reserve currency. That nation also must manage and enforce the system in order to maintain and defend it. Without this the system would degrade or be vulnerable to attack like we saw when Iraq and Libya tried to do that very thing. The damage and human suffering would be immense. Mass starvation and unemployment which leads to crime and uncontrollable and unregulated warfare.
Neither the US or the FIAT reserve system is perfect but they are NECCESARY. A lot of you people want to have your cake and eat it to. We can't have things like food surpluses or socialized medicine without a viable global economic system and the best one we have right now is the FIAT reserve with the US as reserve currency holder. Yes that grants privilege but also an immense amount of responsibility. Responsibility nations like France are not even capable of performing. You guys are to small.
