That Line 6 POD has always been a lifesaver for most of the local underground bands in my town.
Including my own metal band usually at local gigs..
even today it still sounds good. just bought one used for 300 dollars.
Sounds great man. That unit sounds really good coupled with a power amp and cab.

It!s all about how good you are recording yourself, i have one, but for recording im using the Yamaha Thr10 X with tube scream and mooer 5150, sounds brutal for Deathmetal

Of course it is still cool! I mean, with this kind of devices you can get any tone you want in my opinion. But, in order to do this, you have to spend time in tweaking. Maybe with the Helix/Headrush/AX8 it's easier because of the better quality out of the box, but the pod sound amazing if you know how to use it. Less talk, more tweaking :D
Agreed, I picked up a used spider v and with a couple of updates and a few minutes of f dialing in, you can get any sound you want.
This is an example that if you know what you're doing. You can get great tones from the Pod Hd500x and Pro. I have both units and it's what I use. I don't see the need to buy something crazy expensive if i can match them. The biggest issue with the Pod was the stock cab IRs. I use Two Notes Torpedoes to fix that. Whether it is using Wall Of Sound or my C.A.B M pedal

I have a Mesa Mark V and a Dual Rectifier + 21 different pedals. I still plug this thing in and use it. It's fun actually. 🤘🇺🇸👍🤘

I want a standslone Solution that will satisfy me for at least 2 years. I play djenty metal and wanna start going prog (periphery tesseract etc. So more ambient stuff too)

I bought a metal pack some time ago, when i still had my old pod hd pro, and then install this pack into this unit
I m Interested in purchasing one of these but I m scared that line 6 may refresh it and release a new pod HD 600 or something and make my money go waste 😂 can someone help me out here? I feel after being in the market for 6years this may get a refresh this year or so
They released the helix most likely to replace most of there multi fx pedals, the helix hx stomp is $600 new but they are pretty new so you might not find one used for much cheaper

@@jeeeeev yes it's an option, but I'd suggest torpedo wall of sound, it is not expensive at all, or ggd cab zilla
With torpedo wall of sound you have the benefit to buy just the cabs you want,and each cab is 10$, if you buy 3 cabs you have most of the things you need, and kt is a siper complete plugin. Zilla is lighter, it is realy nice (I'd like to buy it) it os 50$ and you have a good amount of zilla cabs, you can then export a preset as a IR, you can't do that in torpedo wos. Let me know what you chose!

@@jeeeeev okay, eventually mooer radar is a good solution, it is not that expensive 130$, it even supports external IRs, e.g. you want to buy cab zilla, you can even create your IR and import it into the mooer
