It probably is, 8gb of ram is found in most phones nowadays, so the "minimum" or "sweetspot" for comfortable gaming for most games is 16 gb of ram.
You can simply buy a stick of 8gb DDR ram and watch a tutorial on how to add it in.
It shouldnt be really expensive, quite cheap, and really easy to do the upgrade
Just make sure to google your specific laptop to make sure what type of ram
DDR4 or DDR5 etcetc
