Quick question since I wanted to make a cardigan like this to but how do you determine how much to chain for the front panels and how long to make them before decreasing?
I would use a measuring tape around your bust and then make a search and do little math to figure out the measurement for you. There is many video of how to do a swatch 🥰 and for decreasing it’s more of a preference you can start anywhere 💕
I did not need to block my work But if you do. The design will be perfect okay 🙌🏼 just soak it in a tub of water and squeeze the water out and lay it out on a block board I blocked many cardigans and never had. A bad experience
@@knittylife I search a lot and I didn't find something that I need in other channels . But your work is just great and perfect . I really can't wait to your next 🤩 keep going ♥️
You definitely can If you go to braceletbook.com you can create a pattern from any images . You will need to do few adjustments but it’s worth it. Also there is thousands of patterns that’s already been created so you might be able to find what your looking for without putting too much work 🥰
Hey, this looks sooo cute. I love it ! I am wondering…how do you know your pixel grid measurement? 😫🙏🏼 I want to do designs but I don’t know how to create the patterns. Love from Germany ❤
Aww thank you. So I use bracelet book.com and there is a lot of design already on there and all I usually do is fix few squares or you can make your own grid from an image. But each square is a stitch. So let’s say you had 3 green squares on the chart so you would crochet or knit 3 stitches in green. Don’t overthink it 🥰
this is so adorable I keep coming back to this video without doing it hahaha but I just bought yarns and wanted to ask if it's possible to make it oversized by just adding more green chains? and is it doable to do it in a sweater rather than a cardigan?
Yes you can definitely add more green chains on each side to make it bigger 🥰 you can totally do a sweater just do two back pieces one with a design one without and then attach them on both sides and top leaving room for armhole and neck 🥳 you can do it
I found the tapestry pattern on etsy for the my neighbour totoro crochet thing incase anyone wanted to make it. I just searched up my neighbour totoro crochet tapestry pattern and found it for under £5.
I love this pattern! Is it possible for the pattern/graph to be a little smaller or is the size not changeable?? I don't want the image to take up the entire back side of the cardigan.
If you use a smaller string and ESPECIALLY a smaller hook (and stitch tightly), the whole square will be smaller, including the pattern! You'll probably have to do extra rows of the green to get it to size up to how you want, though.
Omg thanks for responding❤️ so after crocheting the pattern do I make the back panel exactly like the front then do the sleeves? How do you adjust by size I’m a XL
@@112chantel so front panel is different because you have two different sides it should be less chains and go by quicker. For XL juts add more chains when you start working on the background so if I did 75 chain for medium I would add maybe 20morw chains and see if that fits comfy for XL. Also remember to adjust the center of the chart so have the same amount of stitches on each side before the chart . Then attach the front two panels to the back with space in the middle for ribbing so leave about 8st total of 4 from each side or more if you want more ribbing. After attaching the front panel to the back leave an arm hole space so I leave about 20 rows for my sleeves you can do more. Then attach the new yarn under the armpit and work the sleeve in round until desired length . I will be filming another cardigan tutorial with another design soon 🤗 definitely going to do more details
Do you have to count each square from the art to know what stich you change colours? Or is there a way to hover over the drawing to see what number it is of the row
I believe I just count like 12 grey stitches then it will be one black etc But as you keep going you don’t have to count because you know oh the next row the grey is repetitive so you just crochet it to the point.

@@chickachickaboomboomichooseyou thank you so much 🥰 I really hope that video helps if not you can always UA-cam and find other crochet artist showing how to crochet sleeves and ribbing. I am doing good 🥰 I hope you’re also doing well
@@knittylife Did you have to adjust the number of chains? This cardigans’s back panel is 90 and the coffee one is 70
@@chickachickaboomboomichooseyou so what I usually do is minus 8 stitches so 82ch /2 because you need 2 panels. So make each panel 41 chains and then you have 8 ch space between them where you can add ribbing 🥰
How long did this take you to make? I want to make it for someone’s birthday!
Took me about a week 🥰 I hope you do
Can you do a video on how to make kuriboh from yugioh?
Im new at crochet and can’t find anything kuriboh related anywhere
How can i pixel photo i need to do this but Different character
Braceletbook.com
Hi so I really want to try to make this but.. I’m 5,7 ish. So I was wondering what can I do to get a similar result?
You can make more green rows to make it longer. So just add more rows to sleeves and front and back
May I ask what app you use to make the grid on the picture? Or make the picture pixelated?
I use Pinterest or braceletbook.com 🥰
@@knittylife thank youu. Love the cardigan 😍

Do you by chance have a tutorial on how you finish off your sleeves and the lining? I love how you finished your cardigan off.
I do have a cardigan tutorial . It was one of my first video I’ve ever made . And it shows step by step . Including sleeves, ribbing

Alguém saberia o nome desse aplicativo com margens numéricas?
So I used braceletbook.com to find charts then I use procreate on my iPad to keep track of my work and edit few things 🥰
This is such an adorable Cardigan, how did you you make the ford for the totoro ref ?
Ford ? Sorry I am not quite sure what your asking
@@knittylife sorry ! That’s my bad it’s a typo- how did you add or make the grid for the totoro reference?
@@abcdbdjxsgd so the Totoro chart was made by another person long time ago I found it on Pinterest and it inspired me to crochet a cardigan. The pattern is in the description box. But I do use braceletbook.com to find different images or even make your own
I hope this answered the question
