I'm a little fat old lady and I just want to have a peaceful little old ladyhood all alone. That time in my life is over and relationships are done for me now. I'm not asking anything at all from life and I'm just accepting whatever the universe assigns me to have from now on. When you're sixty years old, there's just old age and the grave left anyway. It's way too late in life to do the whole is-it-gonna-last dance and the whole cancer-widowhood-bereavement thing now. When I was younger it was different, but I'm in a different life stage now and it isn't worth all the crap anymore. But, I'm not overwhelmed anymore. I have found that if you give up everything you wanted when you were young, you can go into old age with serenity.
If you're done with relationships, fair enough, but I hope you reshape your thinking around your age. You're not old. At all. There's a significant amount of time between you and the grave and I hope you find something that fulfils you and makes you excited to fully experience the decade you're in. At your age I hope to be travelling the world, still doing ballet and learning new things. My peaceful old lady hood will be reserved for the grave. ✌🏻
