This song is filled with memories. First heard this song when I was 17, now turning 32. This was my song when driving down the freeway with no worry in the world. How times change.
Absolutely true. Even (up to 15!!) years after its release, I asked some deejays to play it and they hadn´t known it before but were like "yeah, wow, that´s a cool one"...
I've heard of all the mixes but this one is by far the best one! I first heard this back in 2004 as a teenager. Where did the time go?! I'm sorry but I'm crying right now lol.
Back in 2004 this was on continuous rotation on my cd player! Such a great musical journey. I still sing 2d2f to my drunk guy friends when they can't hold their liquor 😂
Hands down my most favorite Röyksopp tune, even if it is a remix. It's got a killer The Smiths vibe from the way the lyrics are executed and the melancholy atmospheric ambience is incredible.
I think this is by far the best version of Poor Leno and I’m so bummed I can’t find it on the streaming services. Every once in a while it pops up on a pandora station that I have but it is rare

Because it doesn't exist. This is "Silicone Soul's Hypno House Dub", a "instrumental remix of Poor Leno with Erlend Oye singing over it. You can only find it as part of this DJ Kicks MixCD.
You can hear poor leno in the background, where the lyrics in the chorus have become: "Poor Leno Where you'll be I'll go Where you'll be I'll be"(rather than "know")
i got to admit he did an amazing job on this iam trying to find this bootleg but i cannot find it anywere????? i know its in his compalition iam trying to find it single
This song was a great song for the time being so much more about progressive music in house and also 2007 was rather poor compared with the other years
THIS REMIX DEFINES MEEEEEE ive been mixing it with dubstep/breaks and it is so fucking soulful, i loved the original song by the smiths, but when i heard this stars fell from the sky!

It’s okay to cry. Trust me
I found the DJ-Kicks album at a used CD store in the discount bin yesterday. It made my whole day.
Back in 2004 this was on continuous rotation on my cd player! Such a great musical journey. I still sing 2d2f to my drunk guy friends when they can't hold their liquor 😂
It is the Silicon Soul Remix of "Poor Leno" with Erlend Oye singing "There is a Light that Never Goes Out" by The Smiths. Plus he's mixed it.
Hands down my most favorite Röyksopp tune, even if it is a remix. It's got a killer The Smiths vibe from the way the lyrics are executed and the melancholy atmospheric ambience is incredible.

Something about a simple deep beat...never gets old
found this album in 05 at local record store....this guy must've inspired the likes of Arcade Fire, Tame Impala
Club Killer ! STILL !
The vocal works so well over this track, it really is bliss
By far the best track of the album, IMO.
Memorable melody and lyrics! Love it and always will!

4:55-5:54
Jesus christ
That part just warped me into another dimension.
Where I was no longer here on earth.
That part of the song is pure death.
It's part of the next song in the mix: Skatebard-Metal Chix/Always on my Mind (Acapella)
@@Fbiguy thank you so fucming much ive been looking for this for years. I knew there had to be a second part
Lol
Major fall melancholy in east London vibes; this track followed by Swarms - I Gave You Everything
Sikkest version,

You can hear poor leno in the background, where the lyrics in the chorus have become:
"Poor Leno
Where you'll be I'll go
Where you'll be I'll be"(rather than "know")
Overwhelming track,
...and still kicking!

It's the same melody as well. Love it.

@asylumdisciple Depends upon which one you mean. They're mixing in Poor Leno and then doing some of the Lyrics from "Always on My Mind" as well.
great track altough i was looking for poor leno :(
this is the smiths - a light that never goes out great artists morrissey but i wanted royksopp :(
Amazing song!
Great remix
where my I download THIS particular tune?
Royksopp and lyrics of The Smiths.....I want!
You may as well buy the whole album, Erlend Oye's DJ Kicks. It's awesome and you can find it for like £2 on Amazon.
1Superchops Erlend Øye has a really sick solo record too, and I think he sounds really similar to Morrisey vocally.
There is a full version here on UA-cam, and I have it, but I don't think you can buy one anywhere.
PERFECT🚀
Grooovey!!!
@twench Did you mean mp3? You can use video2mp3 online software in the case ;)
