Congratulations on your latest acquisition it is more discrete than your YG Daytona You are the best enabler out there! If you ever do visit the UK, keep me in mind
Probably my favourite video of yours yet. Clear to the point and a great insight to your journey. Never say never with Rolex but i think you have the best version of every model, apart from maybe a yachtmaster - i think they should bring back the yellow gold white dial version. I hope you manage to get the pateks you are after. I would love one.
It's a great watch in all respects, I own the previous model. Stealth wealth, absolutely. Full gold - no ceramic bezel, no glass case back - which is just what I wanted. My AD said it was the first full White Gold he had in 5 yrs - much rarer than the SS models. The weight, the quality, the comfort - everything is perfect (in my opinion). My other full gold watch is the VC 222 - I suggest you take a look at one when considering your next watch. Enjoy wearing the Daytona.
4:58 (I am Swiss living in Geneva) You are lucky because "new" (over 1 year) policy in Geneva is that the white tag is kept by the AD. So it is rare now.
Interesting. Very strange. In the US, over the last six years, I have always been able to keep the white hangtag. Except for one occasion (When I got the Submariner as a walk-in, on the same day.)
@@sc1 I have often see policies "tested" in Geneva and then deployed globally if validated. It was the case for bracelet exchange (gmt), dial change for DD, etc. Not a hard rule. But I suspect that white tag will be a thing of the past, so keep them safe. :) Take care.

That looks great! This video really changed my outlook on rolex white gold. However, I dont think I would ever have the courage to wear gold since scratches bother me so much.
I wear the Gold with long sleeves, so it is mostly protected. That said, I just discovered a small scuff on my yellow gold Daytona. No idea how it got there! But even with the scratches, it is totally worth it. Meant to be worn.

Not really. The Blue Dial did not appeal to me, for some reason. I like other blues, such as the Datejust and WG GMT Master-II. Anyway, I am committed to buying New, from the AD, and not from the grey market.
I must say, this white gold watch beats the yellow gold Paul Newman…it’s stunning!! I do feel that you HAVE TO get the Platona next! I’m on the list for a Paul Newman myself.
Congrats yet another excellent choice. You have all the great pieces you wanted, I think you should collect fountain pens now ?👌🏽lol I can’t have a watch in my collection without a matching fountain pen 🖋️
Yes, my new incoming watches will drastically slow down. I'm still enjoying the fountain pen that I picked up from the Lamy store in my last NYC video. I've been pushed to think that a massive, thick, Mont Blanc fountain pen is more desirable, but this thin, svelte, slight pen is a refreshing change. Notebooks are another interest for me, even electronic reMarkable note books. For fountain pens, Lamy is my favorite, then Mont Blanc.
As always great video and lovely watch. Never say Never, Rolex Perpetual 1908 Platinum might be a consideration but i think you need a Vacheron Overseas dual time especial if you travel, blue dial :)
beautiful watch, enjoy it in good health! would you take this over the discontinued 116509 blue dial? love the changes they made with the new 126 range of daytonas, but that blue dial was gorgeous. do you think they will add new dials to the 126 range in the upcoming years?
Your entire collection is very well curated overall but I would humbly suggest some changes. I would sell the new Sub, the yellow gold Daytona and the new Explorer and replaced them with your own pre-ceramic Sub, your first Datejust and the Day-Date from the bottom row. You would have almost an entire Rolex lineup, both neo vintage and modern, including steel, white and yellow gold watches. With all of them looking great on your wrist size wise. This would also left one cushion vacant at the Patek row 😜
That is a thought. Something to consider. My 16610 and 16200 are sitting in another box, sentimental, never to leave. If I ever acquire another Patek, I will need to sell something. Perhaps the 124060 or 124270, but it would be a shame to give up an extra everyday, all-around steel watch.
I am working towards a Nautilus, but as I still get no further response, my hope is getting dimmer over time. My Vacheron representative reached out to me for a special piece, so I might end up purchasing that one instead.
@@sc1 sounds exciting, I would love to add one Vacheron as well. Within the next 2 weeks I can hopefully show my last purchase. It is not a Patek btw. 😅
