I own this radio and its good. Recently found it thrown at a dump, and i took it. Costed around 30 dollars to fix (new belts, chip, new battery contacts) and it was definitely worth it. Clear sound and tuning, however recording kinda sucks. Lots of hiss and it has a lot of "bass". Records in stereo, but headphone output, line input is mono. Btw have the FM variant (1700f), which i reccomend going with :)

Nice set. But no FM. Nowadays shortwave stations are on the way out. So we can listen only to MW and tape.
