I love your videos man cause you're just so impressed with your own work...lol. I'm in the middle of adding a motor to my bonafide ss127 and sometimes I just stand in the garage and stare at what I have done; all happy. Good job man and tight mf'n lines.
This video was extremely helpful. I just installed a lift on mine and the needed force just seemed too high, the use of pulleys was the answer. THANKS!
Just what I needed, way better than one I was going to use. I am going to use a cam cleat to lock in the height I want to stop what height I need. You just pull cord forward and it locks in place, then pull up and it releases the motor to go back down, this way you do not need to wrap the cord around the zigzag cleat. But all in all great idea and one I will use. Thanks
manest423 Thanks! I'm just waiting for the hardware to be delivered, should have it by Thurs or Friday hopefully! The reason I'm not using the stock controller any more is because the speed settings are based on a resistor system and it's a total waste of battery juice! I'll be making an in depth video as i do the install, Im super excited to get started!
Are you able to steer when the motor is in the up position? In the process of adding a motor to my yak and was thinking that when I raised it it would tighten the steering cables.
Sorry to hear that man. Looked like a sick kayak. I've just got a cheapo F&S Shadow Caster, finally got the mounting bracket fabbed last night and ready to mount the yak and steering cables. Thanks for the reply man
wes jones I was wondering the same thing. When I am running the cable from the trolling motor to the pedals for steering do I set the pedals about halfway on the tracks to leave enough backspace for when the motor is in the high position that I am still able to steer it?
Omg I have spent countless hours looking for a way to lift my trolling motor on my kayak. Thank you so much for this. You saved my butt.
awesome dude, tight lines !!
This was my last obstacle on my topwater 120 trolling motor design, thank you man
My pleasure
Brilliant idea for lifting the trolling motor. I’m going to do that to my motor. Keep posting awesome content. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks man!
Gonna do a video soon on how to construct your own PWM
wes jones Look for to watching it.
One of the sickest kayak mods I've seen on UA-cam. You just got yourself a new sub.
This is awesome and I hate to admit, but I will be stealing your idea! Keep up the great work, and happy fishing!
Thanks, you too!

SPiRaL hah I do the same too.

Awesome man, best wishes!
Very nice set up and don’t worry one of my 3 dogs will ask to go outside, I open the door then she sits there and looks at me 😂😂🐾🐾

Thank u for answering me. Well, tomorrow is the day!
Be sure to upload the results! Tight lines!

Do you remember what size spacers you used for the pulley?
Also, what type of pulley was that on the lift cord?
Wes, did you have to remove the pin or the bolt for the spring? Thank you!
No I decided to keep those in.
That is a great idea I'm going to be a copycat and use it on mine.
toolman114 Thanks man, I highly recommend it, makes your kayak way more versatile!

Tightens it a tad but still had 90% steering range. This kayak has since been stolen, I really miss it.

@@suthrnridin06 yes exactly
You sound like Nutnfancy, but didn't talk about yourself nearly as much as he would.
Nice mod.
Not sure who or what that is lol but thanks!
He’s a UA-cam channel with a lot firearms, knife, multi-tool, survivalist info.
Lol...its just sooo sexy....lol...i love my kayak too.....getting ready to put a motor on mine as well
Haha thanks
Are you really that smart, figure this out all on your own?
Just figuring it out as i go, lol.
Yeah. I'm finding the little projects are as fun as the fishing. Anchor trolley - clever.
