Great video, just bought a tri toon with a 2015 225 Yamaha vmax sho, only 67 hours! 😳 going to change everything I can on it being that it’s such a low hour unit.
Yamahas usually go back on pretty easy. Next time you do yours put a breaker bar on the flywheel nut and have someone turn it slowly while you hold pressure against it.
@@lonewolfadventues1215 Thanks for the tip. Definitely try that next time. Yes! I was having problems keeping in neutral while trying to line them up. Kept tripping into gear.

Boy..putting the lower unit back on is a lot easier on a Yamaha vs. Mercury. My Merc150 4 stroke was a bear getting the tines to line back up!

If you are doing the work yourself I’d get on boats.net with your model number and it will list the service parts for you
